Getting to my home
Our home is on the Isle of Arran which is one of the most accessible Scottish islands. You will need to take a ferry to get to the island and we are currently served by two mainland ports ( Ardrossan & Troon) with multiple sailings each day. There is also another route from Claonaig to Lochranza in the north of the island. Ferry timetables and info can be found here: https://www.calmac.co.uk/en-gb/#/
Our nearest airport is Glasgow which is around a one hour drive from the mainland ports of Ardrossan and Troon.
It is also possible to reach us by rail with both ports having train stations nearby.
We would advise guests to bring a car if possible as it provides the best flexibility for exploring our island. We do have a local bus service, with a stop just a 2 minute walk from the house however there is only a service every 2-3 hours.

Getting Around
Arran is a relatively small island and can be explored easily by car or by local bus service. We are fortunate to have a community shop and cafe in our village providing year round essentials.
Arran is famous for it's mountains and beaches and there are several stunning walks that can be done from the house itself.
