The home is on the 2nd floor so it is an easy walk up (but has an elevator available for the end of an adventure filled day😉). There is a living room / dining room combo area. The apartment's kitchen is thoughtfully designed with sleek white cabinetry, generous counter space, a cooktop, toaster oven, microwave, refrigerator, and coffee maker.

The apartment (83 m2) offers a well-balanced layout with distinct living, dining, and kitchen areas. There is also a glassed in sunroom that is perfect for enjoying a cup of coffee in the morning. The Complex is located in a convenient and well-connected area of Shanghai. Enjoy excellent transportation access, with Songyuan Road Station (Line 10) only about 200 meters away and Yaohong Road Station (Line 15) approximately 1 kilometer away. The neighborhood offers a variety of amenities within 10-20 min. walking distance, including ALDI supermarket, Baker & Spice, coffee shops, restaurants, shopping mall, and everyday services. The area is known for its balance of city convenience and neighborhood charm.

Getting to my home

Most people fly in to Shanghai Pudong International Airport (PVG). The most convenient way to reach my home is by taxi or ride-hailing service (Didi), which takes approximately 45 to 60 minutes depending on traffic. From Shanghai Hongqiao Airport (SHA) (mostly domestic flights): A taxi or ride-hailing service (Didi) typically takes around 15 to 20 minutes, depending on traffic conditions. Public transportation is also very convenient, with access via Metro Line 10 to Songyuan Road Station, located about 200 metres from the apartment.

One of the great advantages of living at Kings Court is it's convenient location to Metro Line 10- just a short walk from the apartment (8 min). This makes it easy to travel throughout Shanghai. Essential Apps to Travel and Survive in China Before arriving in China, I recommend downloading and setting up the following apps: 1. WeChat (微信) China's all-in-one app for messaging, payments, taxi bookings, food delivery, and many daily services. Essential for communicating with friends, colleagues, and businesses. 2. Alipay (支付宝) One of the most widely accepted payment apps in China. Allows international visitors to link foreign credit cards and make cashless payments almost everywhere. 3. DiDi (滴滴出行) China's equivalent of Uber. Reliable for booking taxis and private cars with English language support. 4. Apple Maps 5. Amap (高德地图) The most accurate navigation apps in China. Useful for walking, public transport, and driving directions. 6. Microsoft Translator or Google Translate (download offline language packs) Helpful for translating conversations, text, and images. 7. Pleco Excellent Chinese-English dictionary and translation app. Particularly useful when reading signs, menus, or communicating with locals. 8. Trip.com Convenient for booking trains, flights, hotels, and attraction tickets throughout China. English-language support available. 9. Meituan (美团) Popular for food delivery, restaurant reviews, and local services. Very useful once you are settled in Shanghai. 10. VPN (if required) MUST SET UP BEFORE ARRIVING IN CHINA! If you need access to services such as Google, Gmail, WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, or some news websites, install and configure a VPN before arriving in China.
