What we love most of all here is the feeling of being truly elsewhere.  
Our house is a simple and authentic place, at the end of a dirt road, surrounded by meadows, trees and small wooded hills, with a pond right next to it. 
The calm is exceptional: no traffic, very few neighbours and no light pollution at night. You can mainly hear birds, frogs and, in spring and summer, cows grazing in the surrounding meadows.  
The animals that live around the property are regularly observed and the view of the surrounding small hills is very pleasant.  
Starry nights are beautiful. 

The property consists of two old stone houses (a small one with a bedroom downstairs and a dormitory upstairs and a large house with 3 bedrooms upstairs) and a large barn, which give a lot of character to the whole. The houses have retained a deliberately simple and rustic spirit.  

It is a place that we particularly like to meet up with family or friends, take the time, read, walk, enjoy the outdoors and simply live to the rhythm of the countryside. 

The pond contributes a lot to the charm and life of the place. It is shallow and hosts a large wildlife; it is therefore made to be observed and appreciated, but not for swimming or fishing. 

Despite this feeling of being at the end of the world, we are not isolated: about ten minutes away by car is a village with all amenities (2 supermarkets, small shops, pharmacy, doctors, cinema...), particularly lively and lively during the summer. 

The surroundings also offer beautiful discoveries, between nature and heritage: Mont Beuvray and the archaeological site of Bibracte, Autun and its Gallo-Roman heritage, or the astonishing Temple of the Thousand Buddhas of La Boulaye. 

The house is fed by our own spring, whose water is filtered and drinkable. We are not connected to the public water network: this is part of the rural and autonomous character of the place and we want our guests to know this before coming. 

It is therefore not a luxurious or standardized house, but a real refuge in the countryside, warm and peaceful, for those who love nature, silence, simplicity and places with a soul.

The Space

In fact there are two houses, one small and one larger and a large barn. You will find exposed beams and for the household maniacs, it is better to go your way because it is nature.
