General Overview

Our home is a spacious, comfortable family home in a beautiful part of County Kerry, just 1.7km from the stunning Banna Strand and ideally located for exploring the Wild Atlantic Way. We have lovely views and plenty of space both inside and out, with large gardens where children can play safely. The back garden is especially family-friendly, with a playground, trampoline and lots of outdoor space, while inside we have plenty of toys and everything needed to make younger children feel at home. The house has four double beds, so it comfortably sleeps up to eight people, and we also have a couch that could accommodate additional guests if needed. Our home is safe, secure and very child-friendly, making it an easy and relaxing place for families to stay. We also have reliable Wi-Fi and all the usual comforts of a well-equipped family home. One of the things we love most about living here is the location. Banna Strand is just a few minutes away, while Ardfert, Tralee, Dingle, Killarney, the Ring of Kerry and many of Kerry’s beautiful beaches, mountains and villages are within easy reach. It’s a wonderful base for exploring this part of Ireland while still having a peaceful, spacious home to return to at the end of the day. For families looking to experience the real southwest of Ireland, we think our home offers a lovely combination of coast, countryside, space and convenience.

Dia duit (hello!) We’re a family from beautiful County Kerry on the southwest coast of Ireland. We live just 1.7km from Banna Strand, a stunning long sandy beach on the Wild Atlantic Way, voted #1 beach in Ireland on tripadvisor. Our home is within easy reach of Tralee, Dingle, Killarney and many of Kerry’s best-known sights. Situated between Ardfert and Ballyheigie, Ardfert village is a historic village with very traditional bars and restaurants, including Kate Brownes, voted best restaurant in Kerry. Ballyheigue has a seaside holiday vibe with lots of entertainment. We are a family of five, with three children, and we love travelling together and experiencing new places as a family. We particularly enjoy holidays that combine plenty to do with a comfortable, relaxed base to come home to. We’ve travelled quite a bit with the children and love discovering new cities, coastal areas and family-friendly destinations. We’re new to home exchanging and are particularly interested in simultaneous reciprocal exchanges, as we would generally only make our home available while we are away ourselves. We would also be very open to making a car available for exploring the wild Atlantic way. We’re especially interested in exchanges in the USA and Europe during Irish school holidays, particularly in July and August, although we’re happy to consider other destinations too. We tend to look for family-friendly areas with things to see and do nearby, and we love being close to the coast, a city or an interesting town. Our own home is a comfortable four-bedroom, three-bathroom family home with plenty of space for another family to settle in and enjoy Kerry. We would treat your home with the same care and respect that we would hope you would give ours. We’re really looking forward to getting to know other families through People Like Us and hopefully arranging some wonderful exchanges and adventures along the way!
