General Overview

Our home is at the center of Istanbul, short walking distance to Taksim Square and Galataport, Karaköy. We located at the hub of public transport of the city, with metro lines, ferries, tram, buses etc. within easy reach, most distant being only a 10 minute walk. There is basic furniture without clutter since we do not primarily live in this apartment and only use it when we stay in Istanbul. There is a washing+dryer machine, a small refrigerator, a kettle, small countertop oven and a vacuum cleaner but no dishwasher. Also some tableware and cooking necessities. We have hardfloors all over and tile floors only in bathroom. This is the only apartment unit on the floor which has windows opening to both of the opposite sites of the building, making it very full of light and airy when windows are opened. You can even see a bit of the Bosphorus Strait from kitchen window. You wake up to the sounds of seagulls every morning which is nice. We are on the 3 rd floor of the building which you have to walk up a narrow ladder. Also this is an area with sloppy streets which requires a little bit of climbing at times according to where you want to head to so individuals with difficulty should be informed.
