We're an easy walk from parks, playgrounds, sporting fields, childcare, good coffee, and city-bound trains, as well as Hampton and Sandringham beaches and the shops, cafés, and restaurants of Hampton Street. Well-regarded local schools are nearby too. It's a wonderful, relaxed base for a family looking to enjoy beachside Melbourne living.

Hannah

We're a family of four from Hampton, a beachside suburb in Melbourne's Bayside area. I'm originally from the UK, my husband is from New Zealand, and our two kids (3 and 6) keep us busy and very much in "outdoor, sandy-feet" mode most weekends. I'm an academic in developmental psychology, and my husband works in finance. I'll be on sabbatical from September to December 2027, and we're heading back to the UK for that stretch. I will be working in London and have family nearby in Buckinghamshire. We'd love to find a home swap for around three months to make the most of being back. New to home exchanging, but excited to give it a go.
