General Overview

Our home is a bright and relaxed 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom home in a small, secure complex in Kommetjie, Cape Town. We’re just a 10-minute walk from the beach, with everything you need to settle into the laid-back Kom lifestyle. The house has fast Wi-Fi and a great two-person home office, making it perfect for remote working while enjoying everything the Cape Peninsula has to offer.

The Space

Our home has an open-plan living, dining and kitchen area, two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a dedicated home office setup for two people. The kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher, Nespresso machine, air fryer and everything needed for everyday cooking. We also have a washing machine, fast Wi-Fi and a fireplace for cooler evenings. Outside, there is a private garden with a covered patio and outdoor seating — great for having a coffee, eating outside or simply relaxing after a day at the beach.

Guest Access

Guests will have access to the entire home and garden. Our home is single-level and entirely on the ground floor, with no stairs, making it very easy to move around and settle in.

We’re Aloïse & Lars, a South African–German duo who somehow landed in the little surf village of Kommetjie, Cape Town...and absolutely love calling it home. We both work remotely (Lars runs his own business), which gives us a bit of freedom to explore the world whenever we can. We love good food, beautiful places, the outdoors and experiencing somewhere as locals rather than rushing through as tourists. At home, life is pretty simple: beach walks, sunsets, working with the ocean nearby and enjoying the slower Kommetjie pace. But we’re always curious about where the next adventure might take us, which is exactly why home swapping feels like such a good fit for us.
