Our home is a beautiful, fully equipped two-bedroom condo located on the 17th floor of private condo & beach club Punta Esmeralda, a brand-new building inside the Punta Leona resort community. We love how peaceful it feels here, with amazing views and the beach just a short walk away. The Condo has controlled private access to Playa Mantas Beach and is a short walk to Playa Blanca or Playa Limoncito Beaches.
Punta Esmeralda is a gated community with outdoor swimming pools, hot tubs, a pool table, foosball table, free parking, on-site security, hiking areas, and plenty of spaces to relax and enjoy the surroundings.
Our condo is new, comfortable, and has spectacular views of the beach and ocean.
The Space
There are two bedrooms. One has a full-size bed, and the second has a bunk bed with a queen-size bed on the bottom and a twin-size bed on top. We also have one full bathroom, and we provide towels and basic toiletries for your stay.
The kitchen and dining area are fully equipped for preparing meals at home. You’ll find an electric stove, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, toaster oven, rice cooker, blender, air fryer, coffee maker, and all the basic cooking utensils you may need.
The living room has a TV, a comfortable reclining sofa, and an additional chair. One of our favorite places in the condo is the balcony, where you can sit, relax, enjoy the ocean breeze, and watch some truly beautiful sunsets.
All rooms have air conditioning, and the condo also has a washer and dryer, Wi-Fi, and cable TV.

Neighbourhood
Beach Front condo in Punta Leona.
There are several local markets on the way to the property coming from San José. There are a few in the Quebrada Ganado area, right before the entrance to Punta Leona, where you can stop to buy groceries before your arrival. However, if you miss them, you can grab the basics at a small shop just outside the pool area on the left. This belongs to the Hotel Punta Leona, but it was recently opened to guests at Punta Esmeralda. Just make sure to wear your green RFID wristband to get back into the property. There are some nice restaurants on the main road. I personally recommend El Hicaco Grill and La Ostra. Jaco is approximately 30 minutes away, where you can find a variety of restaurants
Getting to my home
Located 1.5 hours from Juan Santamaría International Airport, Punta Esmeralda is accessed through the main entrance of Punta Leona. There, you will be asked for a personal ID number (driver's license, passport, or ID card) that you must provide at the time of booking. Once inside Punta Leona, follow the road for 8 to 10 minutes. You will pass 'El Bambú' and continue straight. You will also pass a small group of houses on your left. Continue for about 0.25 miles until you see the sign for Punta Esmeralda on your right. Please drive slowly on this road, as it is narrow, winding, and has two-way traffic. Once you reach the street for Punta Esmeralda, you will find a security gate where you will be asked to provide your information again. After the security guard verifies your details, you will be given a guest wristband. You must wear this wristband at all times during your stay. You will also find a green RFID wristband inside the apartment, which you will need to re-enter the property when returning from the beach and to access the lobby if the door is locked. Please wear this wristband at all times. Proceed to the parking area and park in any available spot in front of the building. Enter the building and take the elevator to the 12th floor. Turn left out of the elevator to find the unit, where you will see the lockbox containing the door key. Please leave the key in the lockbox whenever you leave the unit for the beach or anywhere else. Remember to scramble the combination on the box so you do not risk losing it
