General Overview

A calm little studio near Handelskai, just a short walk from the Danube in one of Viennas historic "Gemeindebau" (part of Vienna's well-regarded public housing system) — perfect for a morning swim before starting the day. It's one big room including the kitchen, facing the quiet inner courtyard with a view onto trees. Peaceful, bright, and on the 2nd floor, but still close to everything Vienna has to offer.

The Space

There is one large studio (33sqm) and a small bathroom with a shower and washing machine. The studio is equipped with a new-ish kitchen, some guitars, a cajón, a screen that you can use to watch movies from your own lap top. The bed is 140cm wide and can fit 2 people.

Guest Access

The apartment is located in the second floor. There is an elevator, however there are ca. 10 steps that you have to go down.

Notes

There is no WIFI avalable.

Neighbourhood

The apartment is very close to the danube river, great to go for a swim in summer. The district Brigittenau is mostly calm, with many families living there. Public transport S-Bahn (Handelskai) and U-Bahn (U6 Neue Donau) are ca. 5min away by foot, along different tram and bus lines. It takes approx. 20min to go to the city centre by public transport. Upon request, you can also borrow my bike to check out Vienna's (partly) great bike lanes :-)

Getting Around

Transport (U-Bahn and S-Bahn) are very close by.

New to PLU. I live in Vienna, where I'm training to become a psychoanalyst, with an interest in literature, theory and going on hikes. I prefer PLU to platforms like Airbnb — it's a more direct way to travel and share space within a community rather than through anonymous bookings.
