Neighbourhood
This is a neighbourhood of seasonal cottages. We walk to the beach on public pathways, along the cliff top with private stairs down to the beach. There is also a road with drop off area near the entrance to our neighbourhood..
PEI is a Golfer's Paradise, with numerous well known courses. We often cycle or walk on the cross-Island Confederation Trail. The National Seashore is just a half hour drive. It is a glorious feeling to drive to Cavendish, visit the world famous beach, and wander along the numerous fishing wharfs. Anne of Green Gables Home is at Cavendish, too. You can tour the Island for remarkable artisans, terrific restaurants, and lovely walking trails. Music Heritage is so important in PEI! With Acadian and Celtic roots, the Small Halls are lively with kitchen parties and Ceildhs. Don't forget the Lobster and Potatoes! The Confederation Trail for walking and cycling extends over 400 km. across the Island. There is also a new Island Walking Trail that navigates around the Island. If you like to explore the coast, there are about 90 named beaches, and numerous riverside or forested well marked hiking trails.

Charlottetown PEI airport is 45 minutes drive.
Getting Around
You need to have your own car. There is no public transport, no cabs or uber.

We are Les (retired physician) and Valerie (retired teacher). We love to travel, stay in one place, and explore the area.
We love beach walking, trail hiking, and cycling. Self guided cycling tours have been our favourite activity. We've done 15 cycling tours in various countries around the world. Last year we visited Puglia and Denmark, for a week or two of cycling in each country.
Our travels have taken us to over 50 countries. Our active holidays include cycling, hiking, swimming, scuba, snorkelling, canoeing and birdwatching. Having extensive travel experience in many venues, we appreciate and share the trust that house exchange owners have in each other.
We spent many family holidays in PEI through the years. Our dream came true when we found this special site and built our home, knowing we would have four adult children and seven grandchildren visiting! Being in PEI gives us the opportunity to enjoy everything we like to do - beach walking, cycling, and Eating! We also love the musical heritage of PEI, with Acadian and Celtic roots. Wherever we go, we try to learn about the history of the area, visit galleries, and attend concerts.
