We’re not fussy about where, it just needs to be a warm comfortable home with easy access to a unique cultural experience. We are an outdoor young family who loves bushwalking, bike riding, local markets, and happy neighbours! Looking for something similar in a beautiful European town.

General Overview

Nestled beneath the Illawarra Escarpment in the leafy village of Balgownie, Wildwood is our much-loved family home - a place where mountain and ocean views meet a large, private garden that feels like your own hidden oasis. Our spacious home features 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and multiple light-filled living areas. Outside, the backyard is designed for families, with a trampoline, two cubby houses, basketball area, table tennis, a huge lawn, covered BBQ entertaining area and a beautiful stone fire pit beneath the trees. Start your day with a coffee on the balcony overlooking the mountains and the sea, then unwind around the fire after a day of adventure. Balgownie offers the best of both worlds: peaceful village living just minutes from Wollongong’s surf beaches, ocean pools, cafés and restaurants. You’ll have easy access to spectacular bushwalks, mountain-bike trails, waterfalls and the stunning Illawarra coastline. Sydney is just an hour away, making day trips effortless. To make exploring even easier, guests can also enjoy access to two family cars, including an electric vehicle. Wildwood isn’t just a place to stay - it’s a chance to experience the Australian coastal lifestyle. Spend your days exploring some of Australia’s most beautiful beaches, take a day trip to the world-famous white sands of Jervis Bay, discover Sydney’s iconic attractions, or simply slow down and enjoy life among the trees. We hope you’ll love Wildwood as much as we do.

The Space

Large open plan kitchen lounge dining upstairs, with access to front patio overlooking the Illawarra escapement mountain and the ocean. Three bedrooms upstairs, main bedroom with mountain views and backyard oasis with separate ensuite. Kids bathroom upstairs. Downstairs another two bedrooms (I use one as a large office overlooking backyard). With separate additional lounge room (kids media and play room), laundry and third bathroom. Wine cellar, storage room and access to internal garage. Covered back deck with built in BBQ and dining area. Separate sunny outdoor lounge space and a stone paved fire pit area in backyard.

Guest Access

Whole house. 2 stories, 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms outdoor space plus.

Notes

We have two cars which we can make access to provided insurance covers drivers. We also have 4 mountain bikes, 2 adults and 2 kids which we’d also include to explore the area and bush!
