General overview
Escape summertime heat in the cool mountain air of the Green Mountains if Vermont! Rest and relax in our beautiful lodge with Mountain View — it was my father’s dream. We built it from scratch (since I was a child) with glass, wood, and lots of love!!!💕💕💕
The space
Two stories 60’x30’, with a wrap around outdoor deck nestled in a forest We have four bedrooms and two bathrooms (in two separate wings), a huge great room, and downstairs recreation room, studio, and laundry. We are a short walk to restaurants, a little convenience store, a mile from the Killington base (chair lifts, hiking, and mountain biking during the months our home is available).
Guest access
Two stories with indoor and outdoor stairs, entrances, and a wrap around deck where the hummingbirds dance, great for barbecues, sunning, and relaxing in the hot tub.

We love spending time in the South of France, hiking the Caminos de Santiago in Spain, and getting to know other countries and cultures. I studied in Europe many years ago and we enjoy exploring cross-cultural nooks and crannies. We are also open to new adventures. I would love to trace my grandmother’s family in Val Solda, Italy on Lago Lugano, explore Portugal, and learn about Greek culture and philosophy perched on a mountain overlooking the sea. As a plein air painter and writer, beautiful landscapes, villages, the people, their cultures and lives intrigue and inspire me. Duane loves to trace history wherever we travel and live.
We are interested in longer exchanges for cultural and creative immersion. Our FL home may be available during the months of June through October. We live in VT during those months. (Our VT home is not available in ski season Nov thru April). Since our son and his family are in MA we often arrange our schedule around theirs to play with our grandchildren!!
People Like Us is the world's most trusted home exchange community. We believe in sharing, trust, generosity, respect, communication, equality, cooperation, honesty, hospitality, friendship, flexibility and adventure. We take pride in our homes and we care about the environment in which we live: our village, city, country and our planet. We care about the ethos of home exchange and we do it because we love the experience and the friendships that it generates.
