General Overview
Our home is a beautiful one-bedroom apartment in the heart of Coimbra, walking distance from all amenities (groceries, gym, mall, parks, old city, university, river/river beach). With two balconies, a full kitchen, bathtub, and lots of cozy touches (like a giant bean bag chair!), we have made a wonderful landing pad here and hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
The Space
We live on the 9th floor of a 10-story building, with ramps and elevators available to get to the apartment (one small step <4" to get into the apartment itself).
There is a large entryway with shoe storage, coat rack, and space for your things. Once inside, there is a bathroom (shower, bath, bidet, sink) just to the left. Beyond the bathroom is our bedroom with a very comfortable bed, big window, and lots of storage space available for you.
As well, there is a fully fitted kitchen (4-burner stove, good oven, double sink, large fridge, laundry, pantry, all dishes/cookware needed, lots of spices, etc) with another large window.
The main room has a big couch and a couple of large relaxing chairs, plus the biggest + comfiest bean bag you've ever seen! There is also a desk/workspace set up that we typically use for remote work, which can also easily be tucked away if you don't have a need for it.
Off of the main room there are two balconies with views of the city and the soccer field. Smoking is permitted on balconies, but not inside the apartment.
Notes
There is a large air mattress available, which allows the apartment to accommodate 4 people despite only having one bedroom.

Sam
We are two digital nomads from Canada currently living in Coimbra and loving it!
I work as a somatic therapist, and my partner is an academic tutor; we are both in our 30s.
We've been enjoying spending the past few years doing various travelling around Europe and North Africa, and hope to continue exploring with our adventure cat Goose along with us.
We are currently seeking a reciprocal or non-reciprocal stay for August 2026 wherever the opportunity arises!
