General Overview
We live in an old and unique house, surrounded by nature and a quiet residential area.
Our house is bright, spacious, and with more and more plants. Which give it a more relaxed and cozy atmosphere.
The Space
The entrance is on the first level. No stairs. As soon as you enter there is the hall, to go to the living room, spacious and open with the kitchen.
To the left of the hall is the separate guest bathroom (WC). In front of the bathroom, the door to the basement.
Continuing down the hallway is our guest room with a double bed and private shower and wash.
In front is another room that we use as a laundry room in one corner and in the other a desk to work.
Next to the kitchen there is a door that leads to the stairs from the upper floor. Just go up another single bathroom (WC). To continue towards the bedrooms. The one we use day by day for ourselves and a child's room. Both with double beds.
Then there is the room with the bathtub and wash.
We also have a small terrace where you can enjoy the fresh air. We have a sandpit and an inflatable pool for hot days.
The house is practical, with high ceilings, we try to keep it tidy and clean. We ask in return that visitors keep it as is.
Guest Access
Entrance on the first floor. No stairs.
Notes
We don't wear shoes inside the house, they stay in the hallway.
The office has another exit door that leads to the rubbish bins. That way they don't have to go around the whole street.
We have many plants but most of them I leave watered or tended to before leaving. If you need it, we will ask for help with watering.

Neighbourhood
We live in a quiet and safe residential neighborhood with a cozy atmosphere. It is a peaceful area, with lots of vegetation, walking trails and a relaxed pace of life.
The centre of Dieren is a 10-minute walk away.
You'll find parks, local shops, supermarkets, and coffee shops. Every Wednesday there is a wandering market in the center.
It's an ideal starting point if you love nature, but also want to have access to towns and cities.
There is a playground nearby with a playhouse, swings, seesaws and a nice "zoo" with a funicular, "steps", aviary that is nice for children.
On the other side of the railway, in Dieren Noord, there is a large playground "de dierense speeltuin" and an amusement park "de spelerij & uitvinderij". Both are perfect for family time.
The Burger Zoo is 20 minutes away and the Apenheul is 30 minutes away.
Our house is located just a few minutes walk to the ferry that takes you across the river Ijssel for a beautiful bike ride along the river to the quaint old town of Doesburg or to take a dip in an arm of the river in summer. The Rhederlaag recreation area is also nearby if you like to swim, rent a boat or dine in summer. Also within walking distance or by bike you can enter the Veluwezoom forest, a large nature reserve. Great area for walking, biking (mountain). At dusk you can see some wildlife when you're lucky.
Dieren is surrounded by the Ijssel River on one side and the Veluwe National Park on the other.
Our house is a 5 minute walk to Dieren station, which is an intercity station, so the rest of the Netherlands is within walking distance.
Dieren is located in the east of the Netherlands, between the cities of Arnhem and Zutphen, which can be reached in 15 minutes. In 1 hour you are in the center of Utrecht, in 1 hour and 15 minutes in the center of Amsterdam.
A 20-minute drive or 35-minute bike ride will take you to Rhederlaag, an aquatic recreational area.
In 20 minutes you can reach Deventer by train.
Zwolle can be reached in 45 minutes by train.
Everything is very well connected from here.
Getting to my home
Our house is very easy to access by car or train. Dieren Station is a 5-minute walk away.
We are 10 minutes from Arnhen.
Nearest airport
The closest major airport is Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, approximately 1 to 1.5 hours away depending on transport.
Other nearby option is Eindhoven Airport, which is also accessible within a reasonable driving or train distance.
Getting Around
Shops, supermarkets and basic amenities are nearby and can be easily reached by car, bike or on foot. There is also public transport in the area, which connects you to nearby towns and cities.
It is an ideal location if you are looking for a combination of tranquil nature and access to the urban area.

Yessica
Hi! I'm Yessica, originally from Peru and now living in the Netherlands with my husband and our little son.
We love creating a warm, peaceful and welcoming home. You'll also notice that I'm a big plant lover, so our home has plenty of greenery that makes it feel fresh and cozy.
We enjoy discovering new places, good food, nature and getting to know different cultures. As guests, we always treat other people's homes with the same care and respect that we would like for our own home.
We're excited to connect with fellow members of the People Like Us community and share wonderful travel experiences through home exchanging.
We hope you'll feel at home here, and we look forward to staying in yours one day too!
