In addition to being our home, it is a cultural meeting space. We love to welcome people from different parts of the world and share experiences, conversations and the richness of our cultures.
The Space
Our house is located in Melipilla, a quiet city in the central area of Chile, just one hour from Santiago and 40 minutes from the Pacific Ocean. It is an ideal place for those who want to combine nature, rest and the possibility of getting to know the main attractions of the Metropolitan Region and the central coast.
Built mainly in wood and raised with our own hands, it is a warm, spacious home full of personality. It has three bedrooms, four bathrooms, a large living room to share, an equipped kitchen and a viewpoint from where you can enjoy beautiful sunsets.
We are surrounded by a quiet and safe environment, perfect for resting, walking and enjoying contact with nature. We also maintain a small apiary where we produce multifloral honey in an artisanal way.
Our home is also a cultural meeting space. As founders of the international movement Poets of the World, we have received writers, artists and friends from various countries for years. We like to share our culture, meet new people and make those who visit us feel at home.
If you are looking for an authentic experience in Chile, away from mass tourism but close to Santiago, the vineyards and the Pacific coast, we will be happy to welcome you.

People Like Us Local Guide
We love meeting other People Like Us members
It will always be a pleasure to meet People Like Us members who visit our region, even if they are not staying at our home.
In addition to being a poet, I am a cultural manager and founder of the international movement Poets of the World, a network that brings together more than 9,000 poets from 144 countries. In Melipilla I maintain a small cultural center, a space open to meeting, creation and exchange between people from different cultures.
If you are an artist, poet, writer, musician, photographer, actor or develop any artistic expression, it will be a real pleasure to meet you. When circumstances allow, we can share a coffee, visit some places of interest in the area or even organize a small cultural meeting with artists and friends from our community.
We believe that travel takes on a much deeper meaning when it generates sincere friendships, exchange of experiences and cultural enrichment. For this reason, those who come to our city will always find a warm welcome, an open conversation and the desire to share the best of our land and our culture.

Luis Arias Manzo – Chile
Hello, I am Luis Arias Manzo, poet, writer and founder of the international movement Poets of the World, a community that brings together more than 9,000 poets from 144 countries with the purpose of promoting peace, dialogue between peoples, respect for nature and social justice.
I live in Melipilla, a quiet city located an hour from Santiago and about 40 minutes from the Pacific Ocean. My home was built with my own hands, mostly in wood, and every corner reflects my love of nature and poetry. The house has three bedrooms, four bathrooms, a spacious living room, a viewpoint and spaces designed to rest, talk and enjoy the tranquility of the Chilean countryside.
Although I am new to home exchange, for many years I have traveled throughout America, Europe, Africa and Asia participating in literary and cultural encounters, so I deeply value the exchange between people from different cultures.
I like to receive respectful travelers, open to dialogue and interested in getting to know local life. In return, I hope to find welcoming homes that will allow me to continue my travels linked to culture, poetry and friendship between peoples.
It will be a pleasure to share my home and help make your stay in Chile an authentic, peaceful and enriching experience.
People Like Us is the world's most trusted home exchange community. We believe in sharing, trust, generosity, respect, communication, equality, cooperation, honesty, hospitality, friendship, flexibility and adventure. We take pride in our homes and we care about the environment in which we live: our village, city, country and our planet. We care about the ethos of home exchange and we do it because we love the experience and the friendships that it generates.
