Neighbourhood
Cherry Creek sits about three miles southeast of downtown Denver, so you get a quiet, tree-lined residential feel without sacrificing easy access to the city. The neighborhood is anchored by two retail districts within walking distance of each other:
• Cherry Creek Shopping Center — an enclosed mall with 160+ stores, including major designer brands and a striking two-story glass Apple Store.
• Cherry Creek North — an open-air district spanning roughly 16 blocks, with 300+ shops (many locally owned), 65+ restaurants, art galleries, boutique hotels, and spas, all along charming tree-shaded streets.
It’s a genuine neighborhood, too — locals walk their dogs along the trail, farmers markets draw familiar faces, and the streets have that “everyone knows everyone” feel despite being minutes from downtown.
Food & drink to seek out: Cherry Cricket (a Denver burger institution), Quality Italian, Alteno , or Le Bilboquet for a nicer night out, Olive & Finch for all-day café fare, Aviano Coffee for your morning fix, and North Italia’s happy hour just down the block. For something unexpected, there’s a speakeasy tucked in the alley behind the Halcyon hotel.
Arts scene: Cherry Creek has a real artistic identity, with galleries lining 2nd and 3rd Avenues showing everything from painting to sculpture and photography, plus regular gallery walks and pop-up events. The Cherry Creek Arts Festival, typically over July 4th weekend, is one of the top-ranked art festivals in the country and draws hundreds of thousands of visitors.

Our family consists of myself and my husband and our two daughters who are both currently in college. My husband lives in Bethesda full-time and so I split my time between Denver and Bethesda. My husband leads a sports company and I am currently taking time off from work and enjoying travel and our family. We have been part of home exchange for several years but have not really been about to take advantage of it but since we will have more freedom, we are excited to share our homes and enjoy other peoples homes as well.
People Like Us is the world's most trusted home exchange community. We believe in sharing, trust, generosity, respect, communication, equality, cooperation, honesty, hospitality, friendship, flexibility and adventure. We take pride in our homes and we care about the environment in which we live: our village, city, country and our planet. We care about the ethos of home exchange and we do it because we love the experience and the friendships that it generates.
