Despite its quiet location, the cottage is just a 10-minute walk from the heart of Westport, one of Ireland's most charming and award-winning heritage towns. Renowned for its colourful streets, welcoming atmosphere, excellent restaurants, traditional Irish pubs, boutique shops, and vibrant cultural scene, Westport is an ideal base for exploring the beauty of County Mayo.

Guests can enjoy easy access to local attractions including the Great Western Greenway, Westport House, Clew Bay, and the iconic Croagh Patrick. Whether you're seeking outdoor adventure, family activities, or simply a relaxing getaway, our cottage provides the perfect home away from home.

The Space

The property offers three bedrooms, including two double bedrooms furnished and a third bedroom with bunk beds, making it ideal for families or groups.

There are two modern bathrooms, including a fully accessible wet room designed to accommodate guests with limited mobility, ensuring comfort and convenience for all. A second full bathroom provides additional space and flexibility during your stay.

The property is a bungalow, there are no stairs internally in the property and ab accessible access to the property via patio doors to the kitchen.

Getting to my home

Access via Knock Airport (Ireland West Airport) which is about one hour drive to the property. Westport is also accessible via public transport, Train and Bus networks. To explore the area and for comfort visitors a car would be the easiest mode of transport

We are a family of five: myself, my husband, and our three young adult children. I work as a psychotherapist for a mental health charity, while my husband works in IT. Our two eldest children, aged 21 and 18, are currently attending college, and our youngest, aged 16, is completing secondary school.
