Our cottage is a much-loved second home. It provides a warm, comfortable, and modern retreat. Nestled in a peaceful and private setting, it offers the perfect balance of tranquillity and convenience.

Despite its quiet location, the cottage is just a 10-minute walk from the heart of Westport, one of Ireland's most charming and award-winning heritage towns. Renowned for its colourful streets, welcoming atmosphere, excellent restaurants, traditional Irish pubs, boutique shops, and vibrant cultural scene, Westport is an ideal base for exploring the beauty of County Mayo.

Slightly further afield but still an easy day trip are Connemara, Galway, Achill Island and, by boat, Clare Island and Inish Boffin.

Guests can enjoy easy access to local attractions including the Great Western Greenway, Westport House, Clew Bay, and the iconic Croagh Patrick. Whether you're seeking outdoor adventure, family activities, or simply a relaxing getaway, our cottage provides the perfect home away from home.

The Space

Enjoy a spacious and comfortable stay in our well-appointed accommodation, featuring a large open-plan kitchen and dining area with wood burning stove, perfect for gathering with family and friends we also have a separate living room with TV for relaxation.

The property offers three bedrooms, one with a king size bed, twin beds  and a third bedroom with bunk beds, making it ideal for families or groups.

There are two modern bathrooms. One is a  fully accessible wet room designed to accommodate people with limited mobility. A second full bathroom provides additional space and flexibility during your stay.

The property is a bungalow, there are no stairs internally in the property and ab accessible access to the property via patio doors to the kitchen.

Getting to my home

Access via Knock Airport (Ireland West Airport) which is about one hour drive to the property. Westport is also accessible via public transport, Train and Bus networks. To explore the area and for comfort visitors a car would be the easiest mode of transport

We are a family of five: myself, my husband Luke, and our three young adult children. I work for a mental health charity, while my husband works as an IT consultant. Our two eldest children, aged 21 and 18, are currently attending college, and our youngest, aged 16, is completing secondary school.

We enjoy travelling both as a family and as a couple whenever the opportunity arises. Exploring new destinations, experiencing different cultures, and discovering new countries are passions we all share. We make the most of every chance to travel together but also travel as a couple or in smaller groupings.
