Our home is based in beautiful Mount Maunganui, one of the Bay of Plenty's most loved coastal spots. We're just a short distance from Mount Main Beach, the Mauao base track, parks, playgrounds, cafés, shops and a golf course - so whether you want a swim, a surf, a walk, a round of golf or a relaxed coffee, it's all right on your doorstep. The house is a comfortable 3 bedroom + playroom / 2 bathroom family home with everything you need for an easy stay - sunny living areas, and plenty of space for kids to run around and play. It's set in a friendly, safe cul de sac that's perfect for families, with Bayfair shopping centre / supermarkets / restaurants only minutes away. What makes it special is the lifestyle - the Mount has that laid-back seaside feel where you can walk or bike everywhere, the beach is always close, and there's a real sense of community. It's the kind of place where you can properly relax and live like a local. We love it here, and we think you will too.

The Space

Inside, you'll find three bedrooms plus a dedicated playroom to keep the kids happily entertained, and two bathrooms. The heart of the home is the open-plan living area, designed for easy family living and relaxed get-togethers. Doors open out on both sides of the house, giving great indoor-outdoor flow - perfect for letting the breeze through, keeping an eye on the kids as they move between inside and out, and making the most of those long Bay of Plenty summer evenings. Outside, there's a big fully-fenced backyard where the kids can run free and play safely - complete with a trampoline and monkey bars to burn off energy. It's a secure, private space that's perfect for families with little ones. The house sits in a safe, quiet neighbourhood on a friendly cul-de-sac filled with families - peaceful, low-traffic, and the kind of street where kids can play happily and you can settle in like a local.

Neighbourhood

We're tucked away on a quiet, family-filled cul-de-sac — safe, low-traffic and great for kids. You'll often find the neighbourhood kids out playing on the island in the middle of the street, biking, scootering and running around together. The beach, Mauao base track, parks, playgrounds, cafés, shops, golf and sporting facilities are all just a short walk or drive away, with Bayfair and supermarkets only minutes from the door. Everything you need is close by, and you can walk or bike almost everywhere.

The closest international airport is Auckland Airport, around a 3-hour drive away. If you're transferring or travelling domestically, Tauranga Airport is just a 5-minute drive from our home.

Morgan

We're a family of four from Mount Maunganui - me, my husband, and our two kids (6 and 2) who enjoy travelling and visiting new places that are family-friendly. I work in social media and marketing so can work remotely, and my husband works at the Port of Tauranga. When we're not working we enjoy the outdoors, playgrounds and coffee spots, the beach, golf, and spending time with family and friends. We're new to home exchanging but so excited to start - we'd love to explore more of NZ and Australia (and further afield down the track) and discover new neighbourhoods like locals.
