Enjoy stunning views over London and the Olympic Park from this modern and bright flat. Located on the third floor and south facing, it is bright, sunny and full of beautiful plants. It is ideal for 2 people (although can sleep up to 4) and is the perfect base to explore London from.  

The living room can sleep two more individuals - armchair folds out into a single bed, and sofa can also be rearranged and used as a very comfortable single bed (previous visitors have verified how comfy both are).

The kitchen is fully equipped. I'm a coffee lover so you'll find a coffee maker or various moka pots if you prefer it a little old-school. There is also a fantastic cafe, Papa Bagel, on the ground floor of the block - great food, coffee and friendly service.

The Space

The apartment comprises of an open-plan kitchen and living room and off this is a winter garden (indoor balcony). There is a separate bedroom and bathroom and a hallway with a laundry cupboard area with washing machine and clothes airer. For the musical of you there is an electric piano. The kitchen is fully equipped as I'm a big lover of cooking. 

We're on the third floor of a secure and quiet modern apartment block with an elevator. The entire building and garden is non-smoking (Smokers can smoke outside the front door of the building.

Neighbourhood

Leyton is a lovely neighbourhood in trendy East London with great amenities and transport links. Leyton high road (3 mins walk away) is full of independent restaurants, bars, shops and cafes and the uber stylish Francis Road, with its Saturday food market, is only a 12 minute walk away. 

A five minute walk in the other direction will bring you to the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park where you can find the London Stadium (West Ham FC), V&A, Sadler's Well's Theatre, BBC, UAL, Velodrome and more. Five minutes will also bring you to the beginning of Hackney Marshes where you can walk for miles along green fields, through woods, by rivers/canals and to large bird filled wetlands and reservoirs. 

There are a number of supermarkets close by including a large Asda within a large retail park (only a 5 min walk) which also has TKMaxx, Curry's Electrical Store, Sports Direct, Next and B&Q.

A little further afield (one stop on the tube, a short bus ride, a 10 minute cycle or 30 minute walk) will bring you to the huge shopping centre Westfield in Stratford.

Nearest airport

Every London airport is easily accessible by public transport from my apartment. 

It can take as little as 30 minutes to get to London City Airport or 60 minutes to Heathrow Airport via public transport from my apartment. 

It usually takes 90 minute using public transport to get to and from Stansted (tube and inexpensive National Express bus from Stratford), Luton (tube and train) and Gatwick airports (tube and train). Leyton is on the central line which has a night tube and therefore operates 24 hours at weekends. 

St Pancras International station (Eurostar) is also very convenient to get to (one easy change on the tube).

I'm more than happy to give advice or answer any questions regarding transport.

Getting Around

The apartment is a 5 minute walk to Leyton tube station (Central line) and from here you can get into central London within 20 minutes or the West End within 30 minutes. Stratford is one stop on the tube and from there you have access to the Elizabeth line, DLR, Overground, National Trains as well as the bus to Stansted Airport. 

There are bus stops directly outside also which can bring you easily and quickly to Hackney and other neighbouring areas.

I'm an actress from the West of Ireland, living in London. Getting away and exploring new places is so important to me so I'm delighted I've finally found PLU. I've regularly sub-let my London apartment as well as having travelled to various places as a dog and cat sitter. I'm new to home-swapping so very excited to start this adventure.  

My work is very varied and sometimes sporadic - I also work as an Empowerment coach - so I'm often free to take up a last minute offer of travel and can work remotely a lot of the time. 

I love meeting new people, discovering new neighbourhoods like a local and searching for the place that might become my new home at some stage in the future.
