The modern kitchen is fully equipped with a coffee machine, small oven, air fryer, toaster, pans, cutlery and everything you need to cook for yourself. In addition, guests can use the herbs provided and tea is always available.
The bathroom is comfortable and equipped with a nice rain shower. Towels and fresh bed linen can be provided on request for a carefree stay.
Outside there is a balcony with a cozy seating area, and also a communal courtyard where - in consultation - parking can also be offered.
The apartment is equipped with fast wifi and is ideal for both relaxation and work. It is a non-smoking house and parties are not allowed, so the quiet atmosphere is preserved.

Around Steigereiland you are in one of the most water- and space-rich parts of Amsterdam: modern, quiet and at the same time very well connected to the rest of the city. There is less "busy city feeling", but a lot outside, water and open air.
This is what you can do in the area:
🌊 Beach & water (IJburg / IJmeer)
A short distance away is the city beach at IJburg (Strand IJburg). In the summer you can swim, sunbathe or just sit by the water with a drink. You also see many people supping, canoeing or sailing on the IJmeer.
🚶 ♂️ Hiking & nature
The Diemerpark is nearby: a large, green park where you can walk, run or cycle along water and nature. It almost feels outside the city, while you are still in the middle of it.
🚲 Cycling along the water
From Steigereiland you can make beautiful bike rides along the islands of IJburg, with wide cycle paths, bridges and lots of views over the water.
🍽️ Eating & drinking by the water
On and around the islands you will find several cozy restaurants and cafes on the water. Think of places where you can sit outside with a view of boats and sunset. The small harbor on IJburg is also popular for food and drinks.

Getting Around
🚋 By tram (most used)
From Amsterdam Central Station, take tram 26 in the direction of IJburg.
This runs directly over the railway towards the east of the city. Get off at the Steigereiland stop. From there it is a short walk to most properties on the island.
Travel time: about 13–15 minutes from Central.
🚲 By bike
Steigereiland is also very easily accessible by bicycle. You cycle via the wide bridges of IJburg, with beautiful routes along the water. From the city centre, you can get there in about 20–25 minutes by bike, mostly via safe cycle paths.
🚗 By car
By car, drive via the A10 (Amsterdam ring road) and take exit S114 or S115 towards IJburg. From there, follow the signs to Steigereiland.
Parking is available on the street or in parking spaces, and sometimes private parking is available (in consultation).
✈️ From Schiphol Airport
From Schiphol you usually travel via:
train to Amsterdam South or Central
and then tram 26 or metro + tram combination in the direction of IJburg
In short: the island is surprisingly quick and easy to reach, but once there it feels quiet, spacious and almost "disconnected" from the city.
