Small house in a courtyard with a historic courtyard, built in 1650.
My house is not suitable for people with disabilities or suitable for small children. The stairs inside and outside are a risk.
Suitable for a single person or a couple. (1 bedroom).
The space
50m2 : 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom/toilet, 1 living room, 1 kitchen with all appliances. Large plants, also on the street in front of the house (need water in summer). Nice neighbors from all walks of life.
Guest access
Ground floor apartment located in a historic courtyard, built in 1650. Renovated in 1983 and equipped with central heating and double glazing. As it's an old house, things like power outlets are found in odd places ;-)
There are 2 steps to the front door. Three households use the central entrance.
In my house there are 2 steps down to the kitchen and up to the bedroom and a few more steps up to the 'office' area.
Not suitable for a wheelchair.

Neighbourhood
Right in the center of Amsterdam with all the 'fun' around the corner. Dam Square with the war memorial, the music building (Stopera) for theater and opera, the concert hall for all kinds of classical music and of course the Rijksmuseum, the van Gogh museum and more on the museum square; culture of all kinds for all kinds.
Getting to my home
Train or plane and then it is best to move around by public transport or a bicycle. Central Station is close by.
If you come by car, it is best to park at P&R Slotervaart.
I have a car and private parking. We can possibly exchange cars.
Nearest airport
Amsterdam, Schiphol
Getting around
Walking is best. Central station within walking distance. Public transport nearby.

Update winter 2024/25
I am going to spend the winter in southern Portugal and will drive there from Amsterdam. On the way I am looking for overnight stays in Belgium, France, Spain and Portugal. I can offer my house as an exchange or for a Globe.
Please send a message with a proposal 🙏
My house is available for a Globe
I like to go to places where it is warm but I am also very curious about the beautiful north of Europe. I have traveled a lot in Asia and recently discovered the south of Portugal, also incredibly beautiful!
But... a week(end) on the Dutch coast or one of the northern islands should of course not be missed.
I live in the center of Amsterdam in a lovely apartment suitable for two people. It was built in 1650. The Anne Frank House is around the corner as well as Dam Square. Numerous nice places to eat and drink and a park for picnicking, museums, art galleries and theaters all within walking distance.
Preferably for a shorter period (at least 1 week in Europe) or a longer period (up to 3 months, also overseas) outside the city in the countryside preferably near the sea, forest and mountains ;-)
I would like to explore, so a car exchange is appreciated. Mine is available (but maybe not convenient in the city) and can accommodate 4 people and a fair amount of luggage.
I try to fill in the agenda as best as possible, but since I am retired I can travel at any time
