General Overview

Our home is a 3 bedroom rancher with additional studio cabin. We have ocean views from our bedrooms and patios. We have a woodstove for cozy winter nights, and an outdoor hot-tub to spend time watching for Orcas in the Salish Sea. Lots of outdoor gardens, that we like to keep a little on the wild side. The master bedroom has French doors and a sunny walk out patio and heat pump for a/c if needed. Our main home has two cats, Astrid and Odin. They are indoor/outdoor cats. They don't typically go into the cabin so it is mostly free of allergens, but you may see them around the property. If you are staying in the main home they will be  all over, asking for treats.  There is also a low maintenance salt water fish tank in the main house. It is fun for kids to do the feeding, or we can set it up on a timer, whichever you prefer.

Super kid-friendly neighbourhood. Close enough to walk to downtown, or the beach. A little uphill on the way home ;) 
Our neighbours are the most wonderful people, each of whom we know by name and we even have cousins that live across the street!

Getting Around

You can walk to shops and the beach. There are not many transport options around, so a car would be ideal.

We are a family of four + 2cats who love to travel and have new experiences. Except the cats, they prefer to stay at home :) Kjell is a plumber/gasfitter/power engineer at our local hospital and Jen works with women at an anti-violence agency. Our daughters are seasoned travelers with many trips to Mexico already. We love our island home and are happy to consider any exchange. We tread lightly on Mother Earth and enjoy experiencing different cultures and ways of life. We are so excited to be part of this community, and are open to all the possibilities. We have two listings, one for our entire home + cabin sleeps 8-10 total (comes with the cats) and one for just the cabin sleeps 2 (no cats inside).
