General Overview

We are a friendly Australian family of four (two adults and two children aged 6 and 8) living in sunny Queensland. Our spacious, modern home is located in Ormeau, in the Northern Gold Coast region, perfectly positioned halfway between Brisbane and Surfers Paradise (Gold Coast). With world-class theme parks just minutes away, beautiful beaches 20–35 minutes drive, and stunning hinterland rainforests within an hour, our place makes for a fun and relaxed holiday destination.

The Space

We have a large 4-bedroom, 2-bathroom split-level family home with generous living spaces. - Open-plan lounge with a large comfortable couch and a large TV with Netflix, Stan, and Disney+ - Fully equipped modern kitchen perfect for cooking holiday meals - Two bathrooms (one with a bathtub) - Heated outdoor spa on the deck (freshly treated after every guest) - Large outdoor entertaining area with BBQ (ideal for coffee, wine, or al fresco dining) - Split-level design with a large garage offering both front and rear entry (rear through the park) Note: Our two children’s bedrooms are usually kept private with personal items stored inside. They are only made available when hosting larger groups so please ask if you also require the use of two extra rooms (each with a King Single bed).

Guest Access

Guests will have full access to the entire home (excluding any locked personal storage). This includes the kitchen, living areas, outdoor deck and spa, backyard, and garage. The home is family-friendly with games, toys, and streaming services available. Please let us know if you need to two kids rooms to be available during your stay.

Notes

We are relaxed and easy-going hosts who value respectful travellers - No smoking or vaping inside or outside the home - We do not charge a cleaning fee for normal stays. We kindly ask guests to leave the home in the same clean condition they found it - A cleaning fee may apply for back-to-back exchanges - For insurance purposes, only guests listed and approved on the booking are permitted to stay overnight. No unauthorised guests allowed

We live in the lovely, tree-lined Jacobs Ridge Estate: a safe, friendly, and quiet residential neighbourhood. 30-second walk from our back gate to a beautiful nature reserve with: - Children’s playground - Full-size basketball and tennis courts Leafy surrounds that give a peaceful “living in the bush” feeling while being close to everything 11-minute walk to Coles supermarket and small village shops Plenty of connected green spaces making the suburb very walkable and family-friendly

Getting to my home

By Air: Brisbane Airport (approx. 38 mins drive) or Gold Coast Airport (approx. 42 mins drive) By Road: Only 3-minute drive to the M1 Pacific Motorway, making travel north to Brisbane or south to the Gold Coast very easy By Rail: 9-minute drive to Ormeau train station. Direct trains on the Gold Coast City Line and Brisbane Airport Line Uber / Taxi: Easy and convenient from both airports or train stations Walk: Local shops and bus stops are just a short walk away

Getting Around

A car is highly recommended for the best experience (especially for theme parks and hinterland), but not essential. Public transport is convenient, and we are open to discussing car exchange. Local Conveniences: 11 min walk to Coles supermarket, cafes and village shops 15 min drive to Westfield Coomera (shopping, restaurants, cinema) Multiple bus stops nearby (download the My Translink app) UberEATS will deliver food or groceries to the front door if you don't want to go out Places of Interest (approximate driving times): Dreamworld & White Water World — 17 mins Warner Bros. Hi everyone, we're a friendly Australian family from sunny Queensland looking to connect with like-minded people for a home swap adventure. We’re a family of four (two adults and two kids, aged 6 and 8) who love travel, the outdoors, and experiencing new places together. We live in a spacious, modern 4-bedroom, 2-bathroom home on the Gold Coast, just a short drive from beautiful beaches, world-class theme parks, and stunning hinterland walks. We’re hoping to find a house swap in Queenstown (or nearby) for a swap of around 9 days in June 2027 to experience the full snowy season in NZ. Queenstown has been on our family bucket list for years, and we’d love to experience the mountains, lakes, and adventure activities together. We’re open to dates that work well for both sides and are very flexible with keeping the house clean and cared for as if it were our own. Our home is family-friendly with all the essentials, WiFi, air-conditioning, and a great outdoor space.
