Our home, where we live full time, is a three bedroom, two bath single family home with 1,900 sf in a quiet, but active neighborhood. The master has a king sized bed, and the guest room has a queen. There is a queen sized pullout in the third bedroom/office. Home is tastefully decorated and we have a screened in / four season lanai to the back of the home, plus a patio with grill. The kitchen has new appliances and there is a laundry room with washer and dryer. The master and guest rooms have flat screen smart TVs, plus a large flat screen in the living room and one in the lanai.  This stay would appeal to avid golfers (there are 46 executive courses and 13 championship courses) and active seniors. The office is set up for remote work and we have high speed Internet (Xfinity). There is a beautiful pool within 2 minutes of our home and family pools throughout. The Villages consist of multiple squares, each with nightly entertainment, shops, and restaurants. Use of our golf cart could be included if you are comfortable driving it.

Note: While this is a retirement-oriented community, children are welcome and there are family pools to use and many things in the area for kids to enjoy.

Neighbourhood

Recreation Centers offer a wide variety of activities, from classes to crafts, to game nights. We are near Lake Sumter Landing which is a square that offers nightly entertainment (mostly ‘70s -‘90’s rock bands) and drinks and dancing. Accessible by car or golf cart.

Getting to my home

Fly into Orlando and rent a car - we are about an hour from the airport. There are also shuttle services but recommend a car while you’re here - lots to go see, from the beaches to Disney to the Kennedy Space Center.

We are a retired (former bankers) couple living in a SFR in a quiet 55+ neighborhood in The Villages, Fl. We moved here four years ago from Northern Virginia. Our three kids are grown and scattered. We are seeking 30 day periodic exchanges in the Littleton or Castle Rock, Co. area, where our son and his family live (Sterling Ranch). We have no experience with exchanges! We would like a home or townhome with a pool or other amenities reasonably close,to our kids. The Villages offers lots of golf, pools, pickleball, tennis, restaurants, and proximity of under 2 hours to west or east coast beaches. Plus within an hour from Orlando, the airport, and Disney. Please note: we have a small 13 lb older dog we would bring to an exchange.
