General Overview

The house is located 200 m from one of the most beautiful beaches on Zanzibar- Jambiani beach. It has 3 bedrooms, big kitchen and living room, big terrace and forest like vast garden with some fruit. The house is open to the garden with no  glass windows allowing the outside to meet the inside making it possible to enjoy the tropics to its fullest.

The Space

My house is open in the sense there are no glass windows- but welded doors and windows with good cross ventilation, no AC.  If living on a tropical island I want to be outside- not closed in with AC.  As the house is surrounded by trees that stop the heat from coming down, and of course provides shade, temperature is ok.

2 floors with a stand alone studio with kitchenette on the first floor.

Notes

Yippie- my lovely best friend the German Shepard. She usually steals everyones heart with her kindness and intelligence. She needs to swim and chase sticks in the waves almost daily as she is very energetic. So be prepared to fall in love and bend over for all her wishes. Having this said- you have to love dogs if staying at mine. I would love to take care of your animals too.

Neighbourhood

Jambiani is one of the best places on Zanzibar with a stunning white sanded beach and the village just behind.  The South East coast has many interesting beaches and places to visit: Kizimkazi, Paje, Michamvi and the UNESCO heritage site Stone Town is 1 hour awat.

Getting to my home

When arriving best is a send you one of my drivers to pick you up at the airport. After that you will be oriented enough to move around as you wish.

There are plenty of small restaurants and fruit/vegetable stands and small grocery shops. You will have my car so for further shopping you go to Paje, 5 km away.

I live 200 m from one of Zanzibars best beaches with my dog Yippie and cat Sisi who would then be a part of the exchange- and I would love if you have animals too. I own a travel agency and I am free to travel all year basically. When travelling I want to walk in villages and forests, sit in cafés and work and look at people - and eat all the good things I miss living on an island in the Indian Ocean. I have done a few exchanges but due to my animal besties I need simultaneous exchange so they are taken care of. This means you need to be used to and love dogs- my Yippie is gordius and very kind. I have a maid that knows the house very well so there will be support.
