General Overview

My home is located in scenic Kummelnäs, surrounded by lakes, sea inlets, and nature reserves, just 15 km from central Stockholm. It offers terraces in three directions, one bedroom, a living room with a sofa bed, and a private spa with a bathtub and sauna. A perfect place to unwind while still enjoying easy access to the city’s attractions.

The Space

The house is bright and airy, with terraces facing three different directions. The kitchen is well equipped and offers generous workspace. The bedroom is small but accommodates a 180 cm bed, a wardrobe, and a corner window. The living room features a comfortable sofa bed and a fireplace with an insert stove. On this floor, there is also a beautifully renovated bathroom and a hallway with direct access from the terrace. Downstairs, partly at basement level, you’ll find a TV room with a wood-burning stove, a 55" Smart TV, 5.1 surround sound, a DVD player, and a large collection of DVDs. This level also includes the house’s private spa, where you can enjoy a sauna or a warm bath accompanied by music and soft, dimmed lighting. A laundry room with a washing machine is conveniently located adjacent to the spa. There is space in the garden to park several cars.

Guest Access

The house is spread over two floors. A wide exterior staircase leads up to the entrance, and there is also an internal staircase connecting the two levels.

Notes

My cat Tiger is pretty old and need fresh food (that I have prepared) twice a day.

Susanna

I love to travel and discover new places, but also to return to places where I feel at home. I’ve been a freelancer all my life, working with writing and filmmaking, and at times I’m able to work remotely. I often travel alone and enjoy getting a little lost—it’s the best way to meet new people. Sometimes I travel with my daughter, who lives in London, or with a friend. About twenty years ago, I used to do home exchanges during holidays, which generally worked well. I'm curious to get to know this community and I appreciate that there is an option for non-reciprocal visits here.
