Traditional English cottage in a pretty village on the Wiltshire/Dorset/Somerset border with all modern conveniences. We are retired and have properties abroad so we're away quite a lot, but we are also amenable to "hospitality" type exchanges when we are at home.
The space
We will not to be opening the master bedroom suite for exchange, but this still leaves 2 guest bedrooms (one with a double bed the other with 2 singles), the main bathroom (bath with shower over), downstairs toilet, kitchen/diner and living/dining room.
Guest access
Level access from paved drive, but the stairs are a bit steep. There are no bedrooms on the ground floor.

Neighbourhood
We are only a few miles from Stourhead (National Trust property) and within a hour's drive of many beautiful landmarks and places of interest (Bath, Salisbury, Stonehenge, Gold Hill Shaftesbury, Montacute House, Dyrham Park, Lacock, etc.). The village of East Knoyle is a conservation village surrounded and criss-crossed by footpaths and bridleways for some lovely English countryside walks.
There is a traditional country pub in the village that serves excellent food and many more in surrounding villages, including some award winners for the foodies amongst you.
Getting around
There is effectively no public transport in East Knoyle (unless you want to go to market in nearby Shaftesbury on Wednesday morning and return the same evening!). There is also no street lights (the village voted against their installation years ago), which at least makes the stars worth viewing in the evening.
It is easy to book a taxi to/from the mainline railway station in Tisbury, 5 miles away. There are regular trains to London from there and a cab ride to Salisbury will get you onto the National bus network.
