General Overview

The guest suite is a fully self-contained lower-level apartment with its own private entrance, opening directly onto the backyard and the lake beyond. The space has warm wood-paneled ceilings, new hardwood floors, and its own mini-split for heating and cooling year-round. The bedroom features a queen bed with a solid wood headboard, dresser, TV, desk, and full-length mirror — everything you need for a comfortable longer stay. A second sleeping area has a stacked twin beds that serve as a couch by day and extra sleeping room by night. There are sliding doors that look out onto the water. The bathroom is clean and well-appointed, with a glass-enclosed walk-in shower with subway tile, a separate toilet room, and teal penny-tile accents that give it a little personality. The kitchenette has a full sink, air fryer, single burner, toaster oven, butcher-block counters, a coffee maker, and open shelving stocked with dishes and cookware. The whole space feels bright, and eclectic!

Hi, I'm Janice! I am a professor working on human rights in Latin America - and frequent traveler, I love coming home to the Prindle Lake, a 85-acre lake with no motorboats and amazing swimming in Central, MA - about an hour west of Boston. I live here with Uva, a very friendly and hypoallergenic 6-yr old Old English, and I genuinely love hosting and having people in the space. I have decked out the property with a hot tub, lots of kayaks, a canoe and a paddleboard - and a lovely screened in porch. If you appreciate a peaceful lakeside setting, a welcoming home, and the occasional dog cameo, I think you'll love it here!
