Neighbourhood

Our neighborhood is historic with lots of victorian homes and points of interest for American Revolution history nerds. There’s also a yatcht club around the corner of you’re a sailor! The rest of the city is urban with a big latin population so if you like latin food, you're in luck! We're happy to share our favorite Cuban, Puerto Rican, Dominican, and Mexican spots :)

We're walking distance to downtown local shops and the train station. If you want more commercial stores and/or malls, you'll need to drive.

Mariel

We are a family of four -- 1 toddler and 1 infant who live in the NYC metro area. My husband and I both work remotely in the tech industry and have flexibility with travel. Prior to kids we cherished traveling adventurously to places such as India, China, South Africa, and Japan. "Touristy" and/or "resorty" has never been our travel style so we'd like to travel like locals do as much as possible before the kids become school aged and we're stuck in a more rigid schedule. We're new to home exchanges but are looking forward to meeting some other like minded families who value community, culture, and adventure!
