Neighbourhood
Our neighborhood is located in the hottest market in the US for 2025, according to redfin (https://www.travelandleisure.com/hottest-neighborhoods-housing-market-redfin-analysis-brooklyn-prospect-heights-clinton-hill-11712414).
Within a 10 minute walk you have access to Prospect Park, Grand Army Plaza, Barclays Center, the Prospect Park Zoo, the Brooklyn Museum, and the Brooklyn Botanic Garden. We can provide unlimited free entrance to the Garden for 2 adults (kids are free). There is also a playground on our corner. Our block is tree lined and feels different than the hustle and bustle of Manhattan, yet there are several subway lines within a 10 minute walk. In summer the main avenue closes to traffic and families enjoy biking and scooting, ordering food and sitting outdoors. You can also enjoy 1st Saturdays at the Brooklyn Museum.
Getting to my home
The best way to arrive is by subway or Uber. The apartment is within an 8 minute walk to the 2, 3, Q, B, A, C. There is street parking available, but we have street cleaning rules daily.
Nearest airport
JFK, LGA and (further out) EWR- Newark Airport
Getting Around
Public transit is the best option. Uber or Lyft are quick and easy also.

People Like Us Local Guide
Happy to meet other people in the area with similar travel lifestyle to ours!
Small, but clean and efficient 2 bedroom apartment in a great area in Brooklyn. Has laundry facilities in the building. The apartment is on the first floor with no stairs required, which is nice when you have luggage to carry. The host is very helpful with suggestions and making sure we were comfortable.
It was a pleasure to host Harriet & her family’s first PLU exchange, and even better to get to say a quick hello to them before they headed home! I really enjoyed hearing about her kids’ plans for their last day. They all seemed to enjoy the area and took excellent care of things at the house. They were wonderful guests!
Harriet’s home in Long Pond PA is a perfect getaway from NYC! We often visit our family in Long Island and Brooklyn and it will be great to have an all season place that we can take them to enjoy a little time in the country! I can’t wait to explore the nature again one day in the warm weather! Harriet was a great communicator and we had fun meeting up! The house was clean and perfectly outfitted with everything you need! I enjoyed all of the suggestions for exploring this beautiful area!
What a perfect little house! Less than 2 hours from NYC, we went during the winter and were able to go to kalahari also other great indoor water parks in the area. Snow tubing and skiing also nearby. There is some sort of indoor pool I believe you can pay a small fee for, we never had a chance to do!
The house itself is 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Everything was neat and CLEAN and it’s perfect for kids! They have so many games and toys inside and outside. We could have easily stayed in with so many things to do! Harriet was the kindest host and was always around for any questions. If you are thinking of a quick getaway this is the perfect retreat!
Thanks!! We love it and enjoy sharing with others. It can be hard to truly find a home that’s family friendly so we aim to provide that. We want kids to feel as at home as ours do. So happy to have hosted you!
Feedback for Jennifer·Non-Simultaneous exchange·3 nights
Jen’s home was amazing and perfect for our few days away, she communicated so often and was very kind. She gave us suggestions about what to do in the area, offered her summer beach passes, and included beach, chairs, and toys. The house itself is beautiful. It sits right on the water in a quiet street. Walking distance to a few different breakfast options. I would definitely come back!
Feedback for Ron and Naomi·Non-Reciprocal exchange·7 nights
Ron and Naomi were wonderful guests! They communicated before and during the exchange. It was my first physical communication and Ron made me feel so comfortable with this Home exchange network. They enjoyed their stay in New York City and got to visit so many wonderful places!
Feedback for Amy and Jay·Non-Reciprocal exchange·2 nights
Amy and Jay were such wonderful guests! They left the home in immaculate condition, communicated well with me about their timing and questions, and loved the home. I adored meeting them and hearing all about their time in NYC before moving to Florida. We have similar interests and this was so much fun to learn about also. I would love to host them anytime and meet up when we are next in Florida!
Feedback for Brenda·Non-Reciprocal exchange·3 nights
Such great guests!!! Brenda was our first exchange. She communicated everything and helped make the process easy. She helped me understand the how the exchanges work, and we messaged back and forth throughout the process. She was a fantastic guests in the home and took care of everything.
