Our home is centrally located in Los Angeles in the Pico-Union/Koreatown area, with easy access to Downtown LA, Hollywood, Echo Park, Silver Lake and many of the city’s best restaurants, nightlife and cultural spots.
The Space
Our apartment is in an older Los Angeles building with lots of original character, including crown molding and vintage tile. It’s comfortable, lived-in and creative rather than newly renovated, and we love the charm of the original details.
The living room has a 77-inch OLED TV, and there is a comfortable dedicated desk/workspace with 1 Gig high-speed internet, making the apartment especially good for anyone working remotely during their stay.
Guests also have access to a shared garden, and the apartment comes with a dedicated parking spot, which is a huge plus in Los Angeles.
Guest Access
Guests will have full access to the apartment, our shared garden, and a dedicated parking spot.
The apartment is on the ground floor with only three steps to the entrance, so access is very easy. We’ll provide detailed instructions for entry and everything you need to know before your arrival.
Notes
This is our actual home, not a vacation rental, so it has the character and quirks of an older Los Angeles apartment. We simply ask that guests treat our home and shared garden with care and respect our neighbors.

Neighbourhood
We’re located in Pico-Union, right next to Koreatown, on a palm-tree-lined residential block in one of the most central parts of Los Angeles. From our driveway, you can even see the Downtown LA skyline.
The area is diverse, lively and full of character, with some of LA’s best Korean, Mexican, Salvadoran and international food nearby. We’re minutes from Koreatown and Downtown LA, with Echo Park, Silver Lake and Hollywood all within easy reach.
This is a real, urban Los Angeles neighborhood rather than a tourist district, which gives you a much more local experience of the city.
Getting to my home
We’re centrally located in Los Angeles and easy to reach by car, Uber or Lyft. From LAX, the drive is typically around 30–45 minutes depending on traffic, though LA traffic can make travel times longer during rush hour.
If you’re driving, we have a dedicated parking spot waiting for you, so there’s no need to hunt for street parking once you arrive.
Nearest airport
We’re in a very central location for exploring Los Angeles. Koreatown and Downtown LA are just minutes away, with Echo Park, Silver Lake and Hollywood also easily accessible.
The Wilshire/Vermont Metro station is about a 20-minute walk from our home, giving you access to the Metro system and an easy option for exploring without a car. Uber and Lyft are also readily available.
For coffee or working outside the apartment, there’s a great neighborhood coffee shop just three blocks away.
If you do have a car, our dedicated parking spot makes things especially convenient. Having a car gives you the most flexibility for reaching the beaches, Westside and other parts of Southern California.

Angie & Vick
Hi! We’re Angie and Vick, a filmmaker and cinematographer based in Los Angeles. Angie often works from home, and we love to travel to explore new places and cultures—especially walkable neighborhoods with great bars and restaurants. We’re happiest wandering on foot and being near the beach or water.
At home, we live in a cozy, plant-filled space, so we’re very used to caring for a home and keeping things in great shape. We’re clean, respectful, and treat every place like it’s our own.
We sometimes travel with our small 12 lb chihuahua, who spent most of his life in New York and is very comfortable in apartment living.
People Like Us is the world's most trusted home exchange community. We believe in sharing, trust, generosity, respect, communication, equality, cooperation, honesty, hospitality, friendship, flexibility and adventure. We take pride in our homes and we care about the environment in which we live: our village, city, country and our planet. We care about the ethos of home exchange and we do it because we love the experience and the friendships that it generates.
