General Overview
Our home is a true sanctuary where modern, clean lines meet high-volume architectural beauty. The first thing you’ll notice is the sense of scale; the soaring high ceilings and open-concept design create an atmosphere of total freedom and light.
The Interior Highlights
The Chef’s Kitchen: This is the heart of our home. With expansive dark cabinetry and sleek countertops, it’s a dream for anyone who loves to cook with fresh market finds.
The Spa Bath: We designed the bathroom to be a place of total reset, featuring a deep soaking tub that’s perfect for unwinding after a long day of exploring.
A Unique Layout: One of our favorite features is the industrial glass partitioning. It allows light to flow through the entire loft while creating distinct, quiet zones—ideal for maintaining a sense of calm and organization.
The Neighborhood: A Walker & Cyclist’s Paradise
While the home is a peaceful retreat, the lifestyle just outside our door is what makes it truly special. We are located in a vibrant, community-oriented pocket where everything is reachable on two wheels. The Viau subway is at 10 minutes walk
Active Living: We are just a stone's throw from Parc Maisonneuve. It’s our favorite spot for a morning jog or a long walk with the stroller through wide-open green spaces.
Market Life: We do almost all our shopping at Marché Maisonneuve. There is nothing quite like waking up and cycling over to pick up fresh produce, artisanal cheeses, and local flowers.
Coffee & Cuisine: The area is dotted with incredible small restaurants and "hole-in-the-wall" coffee shops. Whether you want a perfectly pulled espresso or a lingering brunch, you are surrounded by some of the city's best-kept culinary secrets.
If you value a home that feels like a designer haven but want the convenience of a neighborhood where you can bicycle everywhere, you will feel right at home here.
Also, the office can be swap into another bedroom and I can provide a air mattress.
The Space
There is a terrasse and a BBQ on the roof where you can watch the fireworks during the summer or simply admire the view of Olympic stadium, St-Laurent bridge or the Mount Royal.
Guest Access
There is a code to enter de building and then keys to the appartment.

Neighbourhood
The 2245 Rue Viau address is located in Hochelaga-Maisonneuve (HoMa), a vibrant and historic neighborhood known for its blend of industrial heritage and major tourist attractions. You are within walking distance of some of Montreal's most iconic "Space for Life" museum complexes and large green spaces.
Major Nature & Science Attractions
The neighborhood is famous for the Olympic Park district, which houses several world-class institutions.
Montréal Biodôme: Walk through five distinct ecosystems of the Americas, from a tropical rainforest to the sub-polar regions, all housed under one roof.
Montreal Botanical Garden: Recognized as one of the world's greatest botanical gardens, featuring thematic areas like the Chinese Garden, Japanese Garden, and the First Nations Garden.
Montreal Planetarium: An architectural marvel offering immersive shows and interactive exhibitions about the universe and astronomy.
Montréal Insectarium: Recently renovated, this museum offers an intimate look at the world of insects through innovative galleries and a pollinator garden.
History & Architecture
Château Dufresne: A stunning Beaux-Arts style mansion that now serves as a museum, showcasing the lifestyle of Montreal's bourgeoisie in the early 20th century.
Maisonneuve Market: A short walk away, this historic public market is housed in a beautiful stone building. It's a great spot to pick up local Quebec products, cheeses, and fresh baked goods.
Olympic Stadium: Take a guided tour to learn about the 1976 Summer Games and the stadium's unique inclined tower (though note the tower's observatory is sometimes closed for renovations).

Ontario Street East: This is the neighborhood's main commercial artery. You’ll find local microbreweries, quirky cafes like Canard Café, and independent boutiques.
Parc Maisonneuve: A massive green space right across from the Botanical Garden, perfect for a long walk, a picnic, or watching locals play sports.
Saputo Stadium: If you are a sports fan, this stadium is the home of the CF Montréal soccer team and is located right within the Olympic complex.
Nearest airport
To get from Montréal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport (YUL) to 2245 Rue Viau in the Hochelaga-Maisonneuve neighborhood, you have several reliable options ranging from public transit to private rides.
1. Private Rides (Uber, Taxi, or Driving)
Time: Approximately 25–30 minutes in light traffic, but this can increase significantly during morning or afternoon rush hours (7:00–9:00 AM and 3:30–6:00 PM).
Uber/Rideshare: Typically costs between $45 and $60 CAD, depending on demand and the time of day.
Taxi: Taxis at the airport operate on a metered rate for this destination. You can expect to pay around $55 to $65 CAD. Note that while there is a flat rate for "Downtown," 2245 Rue Viau falls outside that zone, so the meter will be used.
Driving: The route generally follows Autoroute 20 East and QC-136 (A. Ville-Marie) toward the east end of the city.
2. Public Transit (747 Shuttle + Metro)
This is the most cost-effective option and is quite efficient as it avoids some surface-level traffic.

Get off at Lionel-Groulx Station (the first stop).
Transfer to the Green Line Metro (direction Honoré-Beaugrand) and get off at Viau Station.
The address is a short 5-minute walk or a very quick bus ride from the station.

This fare gives you a pass valid for 24 hours of unlimited travel across the entire STM bus and metro network.
Payment: You can pay in exact change (coins only) on the bus, or buy a ticket at the STM vending machines inside the airport arrivals level.
