We live in cosy 2 bedroom town house, in a quiet neighbourhood.
60 steps from the best bakery in town and a 15min walk from shops, cafes, market, and the train station, a perfect base for exploring The Netherlands .
The heather fields and woods are a 10min stroll from the house. These are national parks and you can spend an entire day walking, and getting lost in nature. You'll find a few delightful tea houses to refuel and enjoy and a relaxing moment in a gorgeous setting, set back off on your hike.
We have a dog (no need to watch her, we'll organise a sitter) so I take walks in the nearby woods daily. I am still discovering some incredible walks in nature, this part of The Netherlands has so much to offer if you are a nature lover.
We can provide bikes so getting to these locations is easy, but if cycling is not your vibe, the house is walking distance from spending your days getting lost in nature, literally!
Hilversum is only a 20min train journey from Amsterdam, also 20mins from Utrecht. its ideally located to spend a day in the city and then return back to peace and quiet!
The Space
We have a cosy little house, full of colour and light.
The sun hits the back of the house in the morning and stays until about 5:30 in the evening.
When the sun hits the front of the house, it fills the space up with evening sunlight.
The living space is open plan, so you and your travel companions can always interact, but the layout also allows for a quiet moment on the couch (in the little cosy nook), at the dining table or in the kitchen at the island.
The bedrooms are cosy, with double beds. The attic bedroom is my favourite space in the house, it gets the morning sun, I love to work here, sitting at my desk and feeling the sun on the back of my neck.
The second bedroom, has plenty of space for a blowup bed, which we provide.
Our cosy little garden is sheltered from any wind and with full sun all day long. It's the perfect place to take a day off from sight seeing and enjoy a lazy day lounging in the sun, it was a sunny day when I wrote this piece, its The Netherlands sun is not a guarantee :-)
Guest Access
We have a three story house, with a very typical dutch stairs, its steep! There's a toilet downstairs, and a bathroom on the 1st floor with bath and shower. The bedrooms are on the 1st and second floor.
