Neighbourhood

Located in a friendly and relaxed neighborhood, my house offers a lot of peace and quiet. It is a great base for nature lovers: flat and hilly hiking trails start right at the doorstep, while more challenging mountains (including via ferratas) and ski resorts are just a 20–30 minute drive away. At the same time, you are well-connected for all daily needs. A supermarket, a bakery with a cafe, and a well-stocked regional farm shop are easily accessible. The train station is only 1 km away, making it easy to enjoy a day trip to Vienna without a car. For relaxation, the thermal spa "Linsberg Asia" is only 5 km away, and two golf courses are also within quick reach. It’s the best of both worlds.

Getting Around

By Plane: The nearest airport is Vienna International Airport (VIE), located exactly 74 km away. From there, you can easily continue your journey either by rental car or by train. By Car: The house is easily accessible via the motorway. It takes about 50 minutes to drive from Vienna Airport, and about 40 minutes (60 km) to reach the city limits of Vienna. Two parking spaces are available directly in front of the house. By Train: Pitten has its own train station, which is well-connected to Vienna (usually with a quick transfer in Wiener Neustadt). On Foot: The house is located about 1 km from the Pitten train station. It is a straightforward, flat walk of about 10–15 minutes to get to the house.

Petra

Hi, I’m Petra, I turned 60 in 2025. I live in my cozy 54 sqm house, which was built in 2019. My daughter (now 26) moved out a few years ago. My home is a larch wood house, built by a carpenter—it is my peaceful retreat. I’m a huge fan of slow travel. I prefer staying in one place for a while to soak up the nature around me. Rather than visiting typical tourist spots, I prefer finding quiet, natural places, ideally to explore on my e-folding bike. Above all, I love to immerse myself in the local culture and experience everyday life just like the people who live there. Now that I’ve just retired, I’m free to travel whenever and wherever I want, and I’m so excited to explore more of the world at my own pace.
