Neighbourhood

We’re located in the Jordaan, one of Amsterdam’s most loved neighbourhoods, central, charming, and full of character. The area is known for its canals, small streets, local cafés, restaurants, and boutique shops. Everything is within walking distance, and it’s a wonderful place to explore on foot or by bike. Despite being so central, the area still feels relaxed and very local. There are also two weekly markets just a few minutes’ walk away, one on Saturdays and one on Wednesdays, perfect for picking up fresh food and local treasures while enjoying the neighbourhood atmosphere.

Nearest airport

Schiphol Airport is approximately 20 to 25 minutes away by car, or around 20 to 30 minutes by train and public transport. You can easily reach the apartment from the airport via Central Station, with direct bus connections stopping right outside the front door.

Getting Around

Amsterdam is very easy to reach. From Schiphol Airport, you can take a direct train to Amsterdam Central Station in around 15 minutes, followed by a short tram ride or a leisurely walk to the apartment. Public transport is right on your doorstep. Two bus lines and a tram stop directly outside the front door, and another tram is just a short walk away. Between these, you are very well connected to Central Station and the rest of the city. Amsterdam is also best explored on foot or by bike, and there are several places nearby to rent bikes. Bike parking is easy and available right outside the front door.

We’re a family of four with two daughters (10 and 12) who are curious, easygoing, and always up for discovering new places. We enjoy a mix of exploring and simple pleasures, such as being outdoors, trying local cafés, wandering through neighbourhoods, and finding those little spots you wouldn’t see as a tourist.
