The Space

The space is awash in natural light, highlighting sleek furnishings, clean lines, and organic materials that evoke effortless glamour and relaxation. The heart of the home is an elegantly appointed kitchen, thoughtfully equipped with every convenience to enhance your stay. It boasts a full-size refrigerator, stove, microwave, blender, toaster, and both pod and pot coffee makers—perfect for crafting culinary masterpieces or simple morning rituals. Two inviting bedrooms each host a luxurious queen bed adorned with high-end linens, and a flat-screen TV for unwinding after a day of exploration. The sophisticated design continues with curated lighting fixtures and ample storage. Though not a sleeper sofa, the plush living room couch offers a cozy spot for socializing or binge-watching your favorite shows. Adjacent to the main living area, you'll find a tranquil office space—a perfect nook for remote work or a quiet reading corner. The dining area, designed for both intimate dinners and lively gatherings, seamlessly transitions to an alfresco patio. Guest Access

Guest may gain access to the house anytime after check-in with deadbolt code. The house is setup completely for guest use and everything in the house is accessible to guests with the exception of the locked bench storage.

Notes

This is our second home that we use with short term rentals, due to that the house has to be professionally cleaned between each guest. This charge is $150 but we can discuss if needed. The speed limit in the Melbourne Village neighborhood is 20mph and is strictly enforced. We have dual Traditional drip (6 cup) and Keurig coffee maker. Please do not lower the AC unit below 69 degrees to prevent the unit from freezing.

Neighbourhood

Melbourne Village began after it was founded by three women post-WWII who moved to the area with the dream of building a self-sufficient community of homesteaders. From humble beginnings, a general store was built on the honor system, and a dedication to homegrown organic produce was nurtured, with a strong sense of community. Now, over 75 years later and cradled by over 50 acres of parkland, Melbourne Village is a friendly enclave with a small-town feel and community. Governed by a Town Commission that includes our own Mayor, Melbourne Village has its very own 24/7 Police Force and draws on a proud history of self-sustainability, offering a truly unique living and community experience like no other.

Getting to my home

Located an hour from Orlando and surrounding attractions of Kennedy Space Center and Port Canaveral. Melbourne Village is within walking/cycling distance of local shopping and dining and only a short drive to Melbourne International Airport. Nearby we have local farmers and vintage markets, Historic Downtown Melbourne featuring boutique gift shops, vibrant eateries and outdoor lounges on the waterfront and the spectacular Space Coast for marinas, beaches and water-based experiences.

Nearest airport

Melbourne (mlb) around five miles away. Or Orlando is around an hour away.

Getting Around

The cottage is very central and a few minutes drive to tons of restaurants. We recommend renting a car or using Uber or Lyft to get around the area. Public transportation in the area is not optimal.
