General Overview
Our home is comfortable and convenient with plenty of space and privacy to relax. We live in an established suburban area which is leafy and very close to all essential amenities. With so much to see and do in the greater Gold Coast region we are a well positioned base to access all major sights and attractions in under 20 minutes (including beaches, theme parks, casino, nature walks and shopping). Our home is very close <5min drive to renowned golf courses and the city's botanic gardens. We love living here because our neighbours are lovely and its a great place to get anywhere without being affected by traffic. You are a short and inexpensive trip to the all the hustle and bustle knowing you have peace and quiet at night.
At the end of our street is a large park with a playground and basketball court. Within a few minutes walk are several other park areas including a spot on the river where you can throw a fishing line in or have a BBQ. I walk around our area most afternoons and it is a safe place where you can feel 'at home' while away.
My favourite thing to do on a Sunday is visit HOTA (Home of the Arts) which has a bustling farmers market, live music and a spectacular tidal salt water lake against the backdrop of the Surfers Paradise skyline. Of course, if you drive 5 minutes more you will find yourself at some of the cleanest surf beaches our country has to offer.
Trains are available nearby with express 1hr routes to the Brisbane CBD for extra experiences there. We have lived in and loved our home for over 15 years and have renovated in that time.
Having virtually lived in sunny, warm Queensland always, we are looking for experiences that are different to what our home offers. The kids would LOVE to see snow and my husband and I would like to see more of our country and the world.
For more information about what to do and explore in our city visit https://experiencegoldcoast.com/
For the next few years we are limited to taking trips within the periods of the Queensland school holidays. We are also very open to driving holidays for a change of scenery. Some of our favourite holidays have been to Byron Bay, Fraser Island, Sunshine Coast and North Stradbroke Island.
The Space
Open plan living spaces with direct access to swimming pool and fenced back yard.
- Fans plus ducted cooling/heating throughout (chances are you won't need to use the heater as the Gold Coast is pretty warm all year round.
- Fully tiled lower level. Our lounge and dining table accommodate 9 people as we like to catch up with family and all be together. Fully equipped kitchen with icemaker fridge and gas cooking.
- The back and front yards are just enough to enjoy a bit of sunshine on the grass without the need for extensive maintenance. I've got some hobby veggie patches with fresh herbs and passionfruit.
- We have a robot vacuum/mop for the house and a robot swimming pool cleaner so we have tried to make our lifestyle as easy as possible as we are busy working parents. We don't have any carpets but do have low allergy rugs in the main rooms. I will have one of our neighbours take care of the lawn if you stay so all you need to do is enjoy the surrounds and relax like it were your home.
- A rumpus room on the lower level has full size gym equipment and a piano. We have plenty of boardgames plus Nintendo Switch and many streaming TV services. Tennis racquets, balls and bikes available.
- Outside, there is a covered table and we are happy to leave a small BBQ.

Neighbourhood
Our neighbourhood is on the eastern side (beach side) of the Pacific Motorway. We are directly east of Surfers Paradise and located on the central Gold Coast. Our area is family friendly with quiet streets and plenty of open park areas. Where we live has become quite popular in recent years so there are three suburban shopping villages all within walking/cycling distance.
Whether you wish to visit the beach, theme parks, hinterland, Brisbane, or even Byron Bay - you will find our home to be an easy base where you can do it all.
THINGS TO DO:
- Visit any number of beaches along the coastline and watch the sunrise
- Take surfing lessons or surf
- Deep sea fishing charters
- Scuba diving / snorkelling at The Spit or Tweed Heads
- Visit Mount Tamborine (wineries, Treetop Challenge, village eateries)

- Pacific Fair Shoping Centre
- Theme Parks: Sea World, Movie World, Dream World, Wet'n'Wild, Australian Outback Spectacular, Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary
- Do Yoga or Tai Chi in the Botanic Gardens

Getting to my home
Coming from Brisbane International / Domestic Airports you can catch the Airport Train to Nerang (this is roughly 1hr 20 min). From there we can arrange our car to be available from Nerang Station, else it's a short 10 min uber to our home.
From Gold Coast airport you will require an uber or Taxi (roughly 35-45 min drive).
Nearest airport
OOL (Coolangatta - Gold Coast Airport)
Take a taxi or Uber from the Gold Coast airport. We are approximately 35 - 40 minute drive (depending on traffic)
BNE (Brisbane International Airport)
There is an airport train from Brisbane to Nerang (Gold Coast) - we are a 10-15 minute drive from that train station.
Getting Around
Having a car is the easiest option to explore more of the city. We are open to swapping a car (ours is a 7 seater Mitsubishi). That said, we have plenty of Uber drivers in our area plus a bus top at the corner.
An easy and reliable tram network is nearby and you can take a tram to several stops for just 50 cents.
We have plenty of supermarkets and local dining / takeaway close to our home so eating out (or getting delivery) comes with many options.

We are a close family of 5 from the Gold Coast - Australia. My husband plus 3 teen sons. Our home is smoke-free and pet-free and we are looking to explore as a family. I love my indoor plants and am happy to keep yours watered while we stay. We are looking for simultaneous exchanges during school holiday periods and long weekends.
