General Overview

Our home is a spacious, light-filled family retreat in NW Calgary, perfect for experiencing the best of the city, the Rocky Mountains, and seasonal Alberta adventures all in one stay. With room for up to 6 guests, it is ideal for families, especially those with young children who will love the indoor and outdoor space to play, relax, and unwind. Located on a quiet hilltop with beautiful city views, you will feel tucked away while still being just a short drive from everything. You are about 25 minutes from downtown Calgary and roughly 1 to 1.5 hours from Banff, Canmore, and the Rocky Mountains, making day trips to world-famous lakes, hikes, ski hills, and mountain towns incredibly easy. It is the perfect home base to explore the mountains without paying the high prices of staying inside the national parks. We are currently looking for exchanges during winter 2026, Easter / spring break 2027, and possibly summer 2027. Our main focus right now is winter 2026, when Calgary is a great base for skiing, skating, snowy mountain day trips, Banff, Canmore, Kananaskis, Lake Louise, and cozy Canadian winter adventures. For spring break, the mountains are still a major draw, whether you are hoping for skiing, scenic drives, early spring exploring, or a quieter Alberta getaway. For summer 2027, Calgary is also an amazing place to visit, especially during the Calgary Stampede, known as “The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth.” You can experience rodeos, concerts, midway rides, incredible food, and events happening all across the city. It is an unforgettable atmosphere and one of the most exciting times to visit Calgary. The home itself is designed for comfortable family living, with a full kitchen, large dining space, and a beautifully landscaped backyard with a patio, BBQ, and plenty of room for kids to play. Whether you are cooking meals at home, enjoying time outside in the yard with the pool and sandbox, or heading out for daily adventures, this space makes it easy to feel settled, relaxed, and fully enjoy your trip. We’re just a 2-minute walk to the ridge, where you’ll find scenic walking and biking paths that connect throughout the city and eventually lead all the way toward downtown. It’s a peaceful, family-friendly neighborhood that feels quiet and elevated, while still being accessible: • ~25 minutes to downtown Calgary • ~1 hour, or just under, to the edge of the Rocky Mountains • ~1 to 1.5 hours to Banff, Canmore, Kananaskis, and mountain adventures

The Space

It’s very open and comfortable for families. • Fully stocked kitchen with everything you need to cook • Gas range stove • Dining area for family meals • Cozy living room for relaxing evenings • Bright, comfortable spaces to relax after a day exploring Calgary or the mountains 🛏️ Bedrooms Upstairs • Primary bedroom: King bed, walk-in closet, soaker tub, and stand-up shower • Kids room: Crib, perfect for younger children • Second bedroom: Double bed plus pullout twin, great for siblings • Extra queen bed: We have a queen bed we are happy to move upstairs into our son’s room and move the crib downstairs. With this setup, our home could happily sleep 6 adults if 4 of those adults were couples or comfortable sharing beds. 🚻 Bathrooms • There are 2 full bathrooms upstairs, including a family bathroom with tub/shower combo. • The master ensuite has a large soaker tub, stand-up shower with bench, and a spacious walk-in closet. 🧸 Family-Friendly Setup We are a family with two young boys, so our home is very well set up for kids, especially ages 2 to 5. • Toys and play space throughout the home • A mini indoor jungle gym for active play • Basement play area with soft safety mats, perfect for little ones • Art station with paints and creative supplies • Lots of trucks, a Hot Wheels collection, and Play-Doh • Safe, comfortable, family-friendly layout Your kids are welcome to enjoy our children’s toys and play spaces during your stay. We simply ask that everything is treated with care and tidied up after use. 😊 💻 Work-from-Home Space We also have a fully set-up home office: • Standing desk and ergonomic chair • Monitor and docking station, just plug in your laptop • Walking pad/treadmill Perfect if you need to do a bit of work during your stay. 🌿 Outdoor Space One of our favourite parts of our home is the backyard. In the warmer months, it’s fully landscaped, private, and designed for relaxing and enjoying the outdoors. • Large patio with dining table and seating • BBQ for outdoor cooking • Beautiful grass, flowers, and garden beds • Above-ground pool, can be set up upon request in summer • Outdoor toys and space for young children to play For winter stays, the backyard will obviously be seasonal, but the home itself is cozy, spacious, and a great place to come back to after mountain days, skiing, skating, or exploring Calgary.

Guest Access

🔑 Guest Access Guests will have access to the full home during their stay, including all main living areas, kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms, backyard, and outdoor spaces. There will be a small locked storage area for personal belongings, but everything else will be fully available for your use. We want you to feel comfortable and at home throughout your stay.

Kelsi & Marco

Hi! We’re a family of four from Calgary, Canada: two parents and two little boys, ages 3 and 5. We love travel, outdoor adventures, and creating meaningful family experiences together. ✨ Searching for Winter 2026 / Christmas Break We are currently looking for a winter 2026 exchange, ideally from around December 19 to early January. Our dates are somewhat flexible around Christmas break, but we’re generally hoping for something over Boxing Day through New Year’s. We are open to simultaneous or non-simultaneous exchanges, and we also have a Globe available for the right fit. 🏔️ Gateway to Banff, Canmore & Kananaskis Our home is a great base for exploring the Canadian Rockies in winter. Your dream day in the mountains is a short drive away. Instead of paying crazy resort prices to stay in Banff or Canmore, you can stay in Calgary and take day trips to ski, explore, skate, hike, or enjoy the mountains. ✨ About Our Home We take great pride in our home and always treat other spaces with the same care and respect as our own. Our boys are active and playful, but we’re very mindful, clean, and organized when we travel. We live in a beautiful area close to the Rocky Mountains, with easy access to Banff, Canmore, Kananaskis, Lake Louise, skiing, winter walks, and all that a Canadian winter has to offer. ✨ Possible Summer Exchange We may also be open to a summer exchange later in the year, but our summer plans are still TBD. If you’re looking for a Calgary summer stay, feel free to reach out. We may be open to something if it’s the right fit, either as a straight swap or if we end up travelling and our home is available. ✨ New to PLU We're still fairly new to the platform, but we’ve completed our first exchange: we stayed in a home in Hawaii while hosting a family from Georgia in our Calgary home. It was an amazing five-star experience on both ends and made us so excited to be part of this community. We are excited to connect with like-minded families!
