General Overview

25 acres with private beach, artisan lodgings near Lake Placid NY , wonderful outside of town small resort. Private sunset view beach. On bike trail and hiking trails, plenty of space to re-set. We have a main Lodge with small lobby and a varied hour restaurant with private chalet and suites on our 25 acres.

The Space

Generally we have 2 BR private lodgings or suites, 1 bath. Most have a kitchenette. All lodgings have access to our private beach with wonderful swimming, canoeing, kayaking plus our private trails and the public bike trail. Exchange buildings may vary based on availability and primarily requests can be more highly considered spring, late summer and fall. Inquire with questions for pets, children etc.

Guest Access

Most lodgings have a deck with a few stairs. One chalet is wheelchair accessible. Please inquire if you have needs.

Notes

We offer exchanges when our resort is open, generally May - Oct but availability will vary. Last minute inquiries of 3 days OK. We are always here when open so we may look for exchanges March, April, Nov and early Dec but never same time as the exchangee.

Neighbourhood

We are 10 miles from Saranac Lake, 20 min from Lake Placid and 30 min from Tupper Lake. There are currently 2 pubs nearby and our restaurant with varied hours.

Getting to my home

By car : 3 hours north of Albany NY, 2 hours south of Montreal, 2 hours from Burlington Vt.

Nearest airport

Cape Air commuter 2 miles away. By car : 3 hours north of Albany NY, 2 hours south of Montreal, 2 hours from Burlington Vt. that has other major airlines. Plattsburgh NY is 1 hour away.

Getting Around

You would need to rent a car to get to stores and the many attractions. "Town" is 10 miles away.

We own a small resort on quiet Lake Clear, the main Lodge was built by my great aunt and uncle in 1886. The last 30 + years has been renovating and building and creating programs including wellness. Our sunsets are incredible and our 25 acres have trails. My husband has a community program background and I was trained as an occupational therapist now Chef. This has been known as the area of "Healing Woods". Our place is our heart and we look for other like places.
