Hello! We are Laurie and Michael, an empty-nest couple who have recently embarked on an exciting new chapter of our lives. After raising our two wonderful children, we decided it was time to embrace a slower, more intentional pace — and we now call a beautiful Scandinavian scribed log home on a quiet, tucked-away lake our sanctuary.
Our home is a cozy, rustic retreat where mornings begin with coffee on the deck, waking up to the haunting call of loons and the glassy stillness of the water, and evenings end with spectacular sunsets and the gentle sounds of wildlife all around. Whether it is kayaking on the lake, exploring nearby trails, or curling up by the fire with a good book, it is a place designed for relaxation and connection. We take great pride in it and love sharing its peaceful magic with others who appreciate the beauty of the great outdoors.
Now that our nest is empty, we are eager to explore the world — trading our lakeside haven for the chance to immerse ourselves in new cultures, cuisines, and landscapes in interesting corners of the globe.
