General Overview

Spacious and romantic duplex in the city center with private terrace in a quiet area. The apartment has two bedrooms, an open kitchen, an open plan living and dining area, a bathroom, and a master bathroom with a large bathtub, shower, and toilet.
What I like most about living here is the balance between city life and nature. Although the apartment is in Bern, it is very close to the forest and the Gurten, Bern's green hill, where you can enjoy beautiful walks, a panoramic tower, a charming restaurant in summer, and the famous Gurten Festival.
I also like that the Aare River is not far away. In the morning, I often go for a run there, and from nearby trails you can quickly reach viewpoints where you can see the mountains in the distance by walking towards Kehrsatz or Köniz.
The neighborhood itself is peaceful and full of life. There are many families, children playing outside, and a very friendly atmosphere. There is also a bakery nearby which I love very much.
Overall, what I appreciate most about this place is the peace and quiet. It is a perfect place to relax while staying close to nature and the beauty of Bern.

Guest Access

The apartment is on the 5th floor with no elevator. It is therefore not suitable for people in wheelchairs or with significant difficulties climbing stairs.

Notes

The bins must be taken out on Tuesday and Friday. In case of absence during a delivery, the post office usually leaves a notice of delivery.

Weissenbühl is a quiet, green and very pleasant area to live in, while being close to the center of Bern.
There is the Weissenstein sports complex with tennis courts and football stadiums. Just behind the Weissenbühl train station, there is a small forest that is ideal for walking or running. The Gurten, Bern's iconic mountain, is also close by and offers a magnificent view of the city.
The area has everything you need: shops, cafes, restaurants and public transport nearby. It is a perfect place to combine nature, sport and quick access to the city centre.

Getting to my home

The apartment is very well connected. There is a bus stop next door, tram 3 (Weissenbühl) and tram 9 nearby, as well as Weissenbühl train station 2 minutes away. The city centre can be reached in 5 to 7 minutes by public transport, or about 15 minutes on foot.

Basel (~1 hour by train)

Getting Around

A supermarket is right across the street (2 minutes walk)
Another is about 5 minutes away
There are also small self-service shops with local products
