General overview
We proudly live in a Haussmann building (1905 construction) facing the 'Viaduc Des Arts' Paris landmark. A Haussmann apartment is what one would describe as "typical Parisian": tall windows, high ceiling, parquet floors, elaborate plaster moldings, a marble fireplace, and shops and restaurants at the ground floor. Our Haussmann building has a sushi and Italian restaurant, a hairdresser and a leather shop on the ground floor.
The space
Our apartment consists of:
- one bedroom with a king sized bed (extra length), and a large closet;
- one bathroom with a toilet, shower, and washing machine;
- a living room with a television (Netflix, Youtube, French TV channels), a couch (not a sleeper couch), a display/storage cabinet, and a coffee/wine nook;
- a kitchen with fridge, oven-microwave combination, hot plates, and all other utensils.
Guest access
The apartment is located on the first floor with both stairs and elevator access.
Notes
- Upon request we have two comfortable mattresses that can be set up either in the bedroom or living room to sleep the third and the fourth guest (i.e. children).
- Metered public street parking and paid public garage parking.

Neighbourhood
Our apartment is located in the central Quinze-Vingts neighborhood of Paris with immediate access to great transport (in/around Paris, and to/from Paris). In the immediate vicinity you will find Place de la Bastille, Opéra Bastille, Gare de Lyon, Le Train Bleu Restaurant (consistently rated as one of the most exquisite and beautiful restaurants in Paris), the Canal Saint Martin, the Seine river, Rue Crémieux, and the Aligré market. There are plenty of restaurants, cafés, and wine bars in the area.
Accor Arena is "THE iconic destination in the City of Light". It is an indoor concert hall and is 1.1km (or a 13 min. walk) from the apartment. Here is a link to the upcoming events at this arena: https://www.accorarena.com/en/events-and-tickets
The large windows in the bedroom and living room open up to the Promenade Plantée and Viaduc des Arts. The Promenade Plantée and Viaduct des Arts is a converted train line, and it is the original High Line that the one in New York drew its inspiration from. The elevated part of the train line has been transformed into a 4.7km linear park with beautiful city views (Pomenade Plantée), and the bottom part of the train line now consists of shops, workshops and studios for highly skilled artisans (Viaduc des Arts). Here you will find restaurants, cafés, art galleries, jewelry designers, fashion designers, chocolatiers, jam makers, a gin distillery, glass blowers, perfume makers, trumpet and violin makers and so forth. The Viaduc Des Arts draws a lot of window shoppers and strollers, and the coffee/wine/champagne nook in our living room is ideal for people watching - a Parisian pastime!
Nearest airport
Charles de Gaulle Airport is the nearest airport.
You can take RERB (train) from the airport to Chatelet Les Halles. Then take RERA (train) from Chatelet Let Halles to Gare de Lyon. Our apartment is 4 minutes from Gare de Lyon. The total duration of this trip is approximately 50 minutes.
Getting around
Gare de Lyon is a block away from the apartment. There you will find metro line 1, 14, RER A, and RER D. These trains will take you directly to Place de la Nation (2 mins.), Bastille (4 mins.), The Louvre (9 mins.), Tuileries (10 mins.), Champs-Élysées (8 mins.), Arc de Triomphe (8 mins.), La Défense (12 mins.), and more.
RER A also takes you directly to Disneyland Paris in 38 minutes.
Furthermore, there are plenty of busses in the area.
