Neighbourhood

We live in a small town with shops, cafes and restaurants within walking distance. There are local picturesque walks along the river or in the local park. Perthshire is a beautiful area of Scotland. It is called 'Big Tree Country' having acres of woodland. It is a scenic region of Central Scotland that straddles the Highlands and the Lowlands. There are beautiful lochs, glens, rivers and mountains to visit. It is a popular tourist destination for hiking and visiting historic sites. It is possible to drive to the east coast or the west coast from our home. Places to visit are Stirling Castle, Scone Palace, Innerpeffray Library, Aberfeldy and the Birks waterfalls, Cultybraggan POW camp, Gleneagles Hotel and Golf course, Comrie Croft Mountain Bike Centre, Glenturret Whisky Distillery with a Michelin 2 star restaurant, Crieff Golf course, and the V&A Museum at Dundee. St Andrews is an hour and a half away by car. There are local Munros (mountains) to hike as well as Munros further afield.
