General Overview

Our home is in the beautiful Byron Bay hinterland and is a spacious 6 bedroom, 3 bathroom family home with heating and cooling, a fireplace, pool, and trampoline. The garden has mango, lemon, peach and banana trees, and we’re close to schools, a local general store and a lovely quarry swimming hole.

The Space

Our home is a spacious and comfortable family house in the beautiful Byron Bay hinterland, designed for relaxed indoor–outdoor living. Upstairs there are five bedrooms and three full bathrooms, making it ideal for larger families or groups. Downstairs there is an additional guest room that can also be used as a bedroom or office, giving the home flexibility for guests or remote work. The kitchen is well equipped for everyday cooking, with a dishwasher, coffee pod machine, and everything you need to prepare meals at home. There are two dining areas: a formal dining room for shared meals and a casual kitchen dining space for everyday breakfasts and lunches. One of the highlights of the home is the large deck overlooking the pool, where we spend a lot of time relaxing, eating outside, or watching the kids play. The garden is set up for family life and includes a pool, trampoline, slide and monkey bars. The garden also has several fruit trees including mango, lemon, peach and banana, which provide fruit through different parts of the year. Our neighbourhood is friendly and welcoming with a close-knit community. We have wonderful neighbours who often share garden produce, food and supplies, which creates a warm village feel.. .

Neighbourhood

Our home is located in a quiet, friendly neighbourhood in the Byron Bay hinterland where community life is still very much part of everyday living. The street has a warm, close-knit feel — neighbours look out for one another and it’s common for people to share garden produce, meals or supplies. Throughout the year we also have seasonal street gatherings, including winter get-togethers and a relaxed Christmas celebration, which makes the area feel especially welcoming. Despite the peaceful setting, everything you need is close by. The home is just 10 minutes from Lismore and Clunes, 20 minutes from Bangalow, and about 30 minutes from the beaches of Byron Bay, so it’s easy to enjoy both country life and the coast. Our small local town has a charming village atmosphere with a quaint general store, an artisan cheese shop, a local school, and a community hall that hosts a pizza night every Friday, which is a favourite weekly gathering for locals. For families, one of the most convenient features is the school bus that stops right at our front door and takes children to school — it’s simple, safe, and completely free. The area offers the best of Northern Rivers living: quiet rural surroundings, a strong sense of community, beautiful nature, and easy access to vibrant towns, markets, restaurants and beaches.
