Our home is in the municipality where Edvard Munch met his first love and spent time walking through the small streets that inspired several of his famous paintings.

We live in a quiet and safe neighborhood with very little traffic. It’s just a short walk to beaches, beautiful coastal paths, and scenic hiking areas.
Horten is known for its lovely archipelago, cozy cafés, marina, and relaxed atmosphere.
Horten has a lively cultural scene throughout the year. The town hosts several festivals, concerts and art events, especially during the summer months. Museums, galleries and cultural venues offer exhibitions, performances and activities that reflect the town’s maritime and artistic heritage.
Only about 15 minutes from the house lies Åsgårdstrand, a charming seaside town known for its narrow streets, white wooden houses and artistic heritage.
There is easy access to Oslo via the ferry to Moss, making day trips to the capital simple and convenient.
Just a 30-minute drive from the house lies Tønsberg, the oldest town in Norway and historically an important trading centre. The town has a vibrant harbour area with many restaurants, cafés and bars, as well as shops, festivals and cultural events that create a lively atmosphere, especially in the summer.
Oslo, the capital of Norway, is about an hour away. The city offers world-class museums, galleries, restaurants and shopping. You can explore the waterfront, parks and vibrant neighbourhoods, as well as a rich cultural life with concerts, theatres and festivals throughout the year.
