We love how easy life feels here. We’re a short 2-minute walk to the beach, so mornings often start with a swim or a walk along the sand before the day begins. In summer, the sea breeze comes through the house and the indoor-outdoor flow makes everything feel relaxed and open.

Our home was recently renovated, so it feels fresh, spacious and comfortable. The large outdoor entertaining area and pool are where we spend most of our time over summer — long lunches, afternoon swims, and evenings outside while the kids play.

Pottsville is beautiful, peaceful and family-friendly with a gorgeous creek for paddle boarding, and the surf beach. We also have award winning restaurants, pubs and cafes. We’re also close to the energy of Byron Bay and the Gold Coast if you’re looking for  shopping or day trips. It’s the best of both worlds — quiet coastal living with plenty to explore nearby.

For us, it’s a place that feels calm, bright and connected to the outdoors — a real Australian beach lifestyle.

The Space

We have 4 large bedrooms, each with either a queen or king bed. One of the bedrooms is being used as as another lounge / music room and has a comfortable queen sofa bed. 
Also have an office with two desks, a gym / meditation room and 3 bathrooms all with showers.

Outside in the back garden we have a large 10x4mtr mineral pool with cabana with seating area, an outdoor heated shower, undercover decked area with dining area, wood pizza oven, bbq, a children's climbing frame on the lawn. 
A double carport, garden and security gates complete the front garden.

Pottsville is a laid back and family-friendly town with everything you need with award winning restaurants, cafes, 2 supermarkets, pubs, bakery, butcher and bottle shops. We’re also close to the high energy of Byron Bay and the Gold Coast if you’re looking for more restaurants, shopping or day trips. It’s the best of both worlds — coastal living with plenty to explore nearby.

We are spoilt with a white sand surfing and swimming beach on our doorstep one side and the hinterland with its waterfalls and walking tracks the other.

A beautiful creek runs through the town, and a 1 minute walk from our house and is perfect for swimming, SUP (we have a board you can use), and fishing. Each town along the coast from us is unique and also has its own beautiful beach for you to explore. Part of each beach has an off lease section for dogs to have fun.

In the winter we are truly spoilt with hundreds of humpback whales migrating along the coast, often only a few hundred mtrs from shore.

Getting to my home

We are located just 10 minutes from the highway with a beautiful drive in between the mountains and cane fields.

Nearest airport

If flying in from overseas Brisbane International is 1.5hrs away but we are only 25mins from Gold Coast Airport which has some international flights and also 30 mins from Ballina domestic airport.

Getting Around

10 minute walk to a supermarket, chemist, pub, bottle shop, and pizza cafe. 2 mins drive to main part of town. Walk over the road to the creek and 1 minute drive to the beach.

We’re a family of four from coastal NSW, Australia. My husband and I have two daughters (aged 12 and 10). 

We’re experienced travellers and take great care of the homes we stay in — we understand how much trust is involved in home exchange. Our girls are respectful, used to staying in other people’s homes, and we are very house-proud ourselves.

We’re non-smokers and we are open to car swaps if helpful.

We love adventure, culture, good food and being outdoors. Our girls are fantastic travellers and we recently travelled 4 months across Europe in Spain, France, Portugal and Italy. We are visited England many times and also travelled around Vietnam, Bali, Fiji, Vanuatu and New Zealand. We love exploring new places and aim to travel a couple of times a year.
