You're close enough to the mountains to feel their presence, yet minutes from great restaurants, coffee shops, and everyday conveniences.
Nearest airport
The closest and most convenient airport is Denver International Airport (DIA/DEN), located approximately 43 miles southeast of the home — typically a 45–55 minute drive depending on traffic. It is a major international hub served by virtually all major U.S. and international carriers, making it easy to reach from anywhere in the world.
Getting Around
Roosevelt Park (Downtown Longmont) — ~3 miles from home
A lively, well-loved community park right in downtown Longmont, Roosevelt Park features a spectacular rose garden, a playground for kids, a seasonal ice skating rink in winter, and an open lawn that hosts community events throughout the year. It's a wonderful place to spend a relaxed afternoon and get a real taste of Longmont's welcoming, community-driven spirit.
Golden Ponds Park — ~5 miles from home
A local favorite and a true hidden gem, Golden Ponds is a beautiful natural area with a series of peaceful ponds connected by walking and biking trails. Guests love it for morning jogs, fishing, birdwatching, and leisurely family strolls. There's even a pretty little waterfall tucked along the path. With stunning views of Longs Peak and the Twin Sisters mountains reflecting off the water, it's one of those places that stops you in your tracks.
Longmont Museum — ~5 miles from home
An award-winning regional museum that goes well beyond your typical history exhibits. With rotating galleries, hands-on children's programming, a treehouse play area, and occasional live music events, it's a fantastic outing for families and culture lovers alike. The core historical exhibit exploring Longmont's story is free, making it a wonderful and accessible stop.
Rocky Mountain National Park — ~45 miles west (~1 hour drive)
One of America's most beloved national parks, RMNP is an absolute must for any Colorado visit. Spanning over 415 square miles of rugged peaks, alpine lakes, and meadows teeming with wildlife — elk, moose, bighorn sheep, and more — it offers something for every type of traveler. Hike to Bear Lake, drive the iconic Trail Ridge Road (the highest continuous paved road in the US), or simply pull over and watch a herd of elk graze at dusk. The park's gateway town of Estes Park is charming and worth an afternoon stroll on its own.

Olimpia
Hi, we're Olimpia and Matt, and we're so happy to welcome you into our home! We share our lives with our two amazing boys, Mateo and Noah, and the true star of the household, a wonderfully sassy 14-year-old Jack Russell/Border Collie/Chihuahua mix, named Tina, we adopted over 12 years ago and who has absolutely no idea how small she is.
We're available to host up to 4 people as hospitality pretty much anytime, but can open our home to up to 8 people for a full exchange.
We're a family that loves both adventure and connection. Matt is a filmmaker, bringing stories to life on screen, while Olimpia works in wildfire mitigation for Boulder County. We also love to play tennis and camping. We're proud to be rooted here in Longmont and love everything the Colorado Foothills have to offer.
Hosting comes naturally to us, we genuinely love meeting new people, sharing good conversation, and making guests feel at home. And yes, we speak fluent Spanish, so ¡siéntete como en casa!
Here's our favorite fun fact: Matt and Olimpia actually met through couch surfing back in the day, so you could say hosting is quite literally how our family story began. Nearly 16 years of marriage later, we still believe that opening your door to the world is one of the best things you can do.
We can't wait to meet you. Make yourself at home, because that's exactly what this place is meant to be.
People Like Us is the world's most trusted home exchange community. We believe in sharing, trust, generosity, respect, communication, equality, cooperation, honesty, hospitality, friendship, flexibility and adventure. We take pride in our homes and we care about the environment in which we live: our village, city, country and our planet. We care about the ethos of home exchange and we do it because we love the experience and the friendships that it generates.
