General Overview

The Sunburst, on Sage will take you back to a simpler time. This Mid Century Ranch Style home was built in 1962. At that time, this was the outskirts of Scottsdale. Now, it is centrally located just 2 miles from Camelback Mountain and Old Town Scottsdale. The views of Camelback Mountain at Sunset are spectacular. Each room has been carefully curated to reflect the Sonoran Desert's color and beauty while paying homage to this home's Mid Century beginnings. Come and step back

The Space

I'll start with the backyard as it is home to our most interesting resident; Mesquite the Desert Tortoise. Mesquite enjoys the lush St. Augustine lawn and soaking under the sprinklers. In winter, she retreats to her burrow but spring, fall, and summer she loves to strut her stuff for the guests. From the back covered patio, you have a view of Camelback mountain, which at sunset can be quite the sight to behold. The front yard offers covered, off-street parking for two medium vehicles or one large vehicle. The house opens up to a tastefully decorated midcentury living room with a large television. Through there is the kitchen and dining room with a large sliding glass door that leads to the back patio. Down the hall are the three bedrooms (each with their own theme) and two bathrooms.

Guest Access

This is a single story house. There is a small step into the house and to the back patio.

Neighbourhood

The neighborhood is a family neighborhood: safe and quiet. There is a public park within walking distance, not even a stop sign involved. The park has a playground and a beautiful lake to walk around. A mating pair of bald eagles live at the park (Misty and Bandit). From the park, its easy to access the canal; a wonderful walking or biking path that can take you as far as Tempe if you choose (its a fun ride!) Old Town Scottsdale is a just a few minutes drive away. Or take the Scottsdale trolly! It's free! This area is great for hiking, paddling, fishing, biking, basically anything outdoors because of our abundant sunshine. Camelback mountain, as seen from the house, has two trails of varying difficulty. So something for everyone!

Getting to my home

Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport is a quick 25 minutes, depending on traffic, from curbside to the Sunburst. Waymo (the driverless rideshare) is popular here and will pick you up at the airport.

Nearest airport

Phoenix sky harbor international airport is 12 miles away

Getting Around

The Scottsdale trolly is free. there are also some bus options. Having a car is best but there are tons of rideshare options. Waymo (no one in the driver's seat, so cool!) is my preferred ride share nowadays but there is also Uber and Lyft.

Elise

Hello! My name is Elise and I am 33 years old. My mom and I co-host a vacation rental in Scottsdale, AZ that is one house over from her and diagonal to me. That's right, we all live on the same street! Its great for guests who want a more personal connection with their hosts or if guests prefer their privacy. We are a 10 minute drive away from lively downtown Scottsdale but we prefer quiet and nature. Scottsdale and the surrounding cities are great for hiking, biking, fishing, etc. My mom and I are the biggest travel bugs and its usually just the two of us but sometimes a destination is just too tempting and it becomes a family adventure.
