General overview

House is located in a family friendly neighborhood, 20min South of downtown Denver. Straightforward 35min drive from Denver International Airport.

The space

You will have the entire house to yourself. We have a nice private backyard too, if you wish to BBQ or relax surrounded by greenery. There is a playhouse with swing set, sandbox and a trampoline for the kids.  
House consists of: 
1 kid’s room with Full bed (160x200cm)
1 kid’s room with single bed (Jeep, 90x200cm)
Primary room has a King sized bed(200x200), an en suite bathroom featuring (optional) steam shower and a large bath tub. And Japanese integrated(bidet) toilet. 
guest room with Ikea daybed which extends to Queen size or can remain single(90x200cm)
Bathroom #2 upstairs has a tub with glass doors and double sinks. 
Downstairs is kitchen, wc(Japanese integrated bidet toilet), living room with large tv, dining room with 6 chairs and large table(seats 9+). And an office space with massage chair.

Guest access

It is a house with two floors and a finished basement. You will have keyless entry access for your stay. I will leave you with all the instruction on entering, and locking. You can park on the driveway, in front of the house itself, it is automatically illuminated with a path leading you to the front door & porch.

Notes

Our home is ‘Smart home’ equipped, and I will provide any instructions needed to make your stay most enjoyable. It is not child proofed, and as shown in photos has steep stairs, etc.

Neighbourhood

Family oriented neighborhood boasts mature trees, tennis courts and green belt path alongside the creek. You can walk the path to the nearest shopping plaza, with King Sooper (local grocery store) and a variety of restaurants. 
Some of local favorites are: 
East Moon Bistro (Asian fusion)
Los Dos Potrillos (Mexican, famous for their margaritas, always busy)
Indian Kitchen II (Indian)
Farro (date night Italian)
Big Bill’s NY Style (pizza by the slice)

Getting to my home

Airport- Denver International Airport(DIA) is 30-40min car ride (Uber/Lyft are readily available and can cost anywhere between 20-70$, depending on their algorhytm🤔). 
You will want a car to get the most out of your visit.

Getting around

While you can walk to the grocery store, beauty salon and many restaurants on that same plaza, I would strongly advise having a car for further exploration. We are conveniently located:
26min to Roxborough State Park
24min to famous Red Rock Amphitheater 
26min to Union Station and downtown Denver
32min to Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge *be sure to visit Stanley Marketplace&foodcourt if in that area
50min to Garden of the Gods 
1hr20min to Painted Mines Archeological Site 
1hr30min to Estes Park and RMNP entrance

Matea and her family were the PERFECT exchange partners for our first experience and will be new friends long term. Their home is lovely, conveniently located to Downtown Denver and all the local attractions. Their home was immaculate and they left ours perfect as well. Matea, Lars and their two wonderful children were a real treat to have in our home. They are an adventurous family who have traveled all over with their kids and so curious about the world. We thoroughly enjoyed creating new friendship and connection. They filled their days with so much and I think they really were able to experience Guatemala and get to know the beauty of this country. We really enjoyed having meals together on occasion, spending time with them and the kids and sharing our home. Great guests that are welcome any time to return as friends!!

Matea and Lars and kids were great guests. Matea was easygoing and easy to communicate with. We communicated beforehand and I feel like a found a new friend! The family is adventurous and explored way beyond our Village by the Sea. The home was clean and ready to go when we returned. My home was just as I'd left it. My car was in great condition and gassed up. They were still here when we landed so they picked us up at the airport and had dinner ready for us. Amazing and so thoughtful after a full day of travel. Everything was perfect!

Susan’s guest cottage was exactly as described and we had everything we needed for our visit. It is their rental property, and it was very neat, and tidy. There is laundry in unit, and they provided a lot of extras for us. Hosts were easy to reach and talk with. They were available for any questions throughout our stay.

We were welcomed by a clean, comfortable and thoughtfully prepared home. Leah left us a full drawer of essentials to use, as well as a stocked pantry, and made room for us in the fridge/freezer. We felt very welcomed, and through communicating with the hosts, felt like we are visiting long time friends. The area is lovely, ample walking trails from the home, and a short drive from Stuttgart downtown.

Fawn’s home was immaculate. It was spacious and comfortable for our family. We enjoyed both the home and its location. Fawn left instructions and was available for any questions. Alison’s home was perfect, amazing location, clean and she left us a detailed guide for all the best places to see on the island. We felt like locals, thanks to her! She even cleared out space in the closets for our clothes and luggage which was so thoughtful. Throughout the stay, she was available via text and made us feel so welcomed.

We returned to house just as we left it, if not better! We exchanged cars as well and my car was just as I left it, we stayed in touch throughout the exchange and I had no worries all along.
