General Overview

Our home is a beautiful, light-filled historic house filled with enormous French windows and doors, a wrap-around deck, a garden, a redwood tree in the backyard, and a hot tub. It's especially well-suited for families with young children (we have two!). The home is nicely decorated, and the kitchen is recently renovated, and it's walkable to several different shopping districts and a train station.

The Space

Our home is on a quiet residential street. The large open-floor plan living room and dining room has enormous French windows and doors, a large fireplace, and midcentury modern decor. There are three bedrooms, including a front master bedroom with French windows. A second bedroom includes a bunkbed with a full size bed on the bottom. A third bedroom/nursery has a toddler bed. Outside, you'll find a sunny deck with a dining table and couch. the deck wraps around to a space with a hot tub and grill. In the back, there is a terraced garden that leads to one of the famous Berkeley rocks -- a huge house-size granite boulder called "Picnic Rock." This house is a classic Berkeley gem that's been in my family for 30 years. I hope you enjoy is as much as we do!

Guest Access

You walk through our gate and up our cobbled stone front path to access the house either through the front door or the side deck door. There is ample parking up front.
